I hate to admit it...but I have left my brompton unlocked about ten times already. I'm in the northeast, in a cute little suburb of New Jersey. I will say, it's a pretty affluent neighborhood, so I think that's why I have been brave about it. Recently got a U-lock, so no more of that tomfoolery.

Many years a go, "Mad Magazine" had a cartoon about a man, who had bought an extremely light racing bike, but to secure it he had to bring a heavy iron chain and a lock! As it is a folding bike I normally bring it inside shops and places, and never leave it out of my sight, as even my "Superlight", also compared with your T-line, is very expensive! Finn. Denmark

I love this lock. I use it at my park so I don't have to keep an eye on it when playing with Tan Tan at the playground.

I've never heard of these locks, but love the concept. We also never lock our Bromptons outside in Toronto. Most establishments are totally fine with us bringing a tiny Brompton inside, but if ever they aren't, we just go somewhere else. That's the nice thing about having an abundance of great restaurants in this city!

I wonder if you had a portable cover for the bike, you could just bring it inside everywhere. Even next to you at the table. There’s ones that just go over the top with the bottom open for the easy wheels and then store in a pouch

Covers work great. But I also need a lock for when I go to the park and other safe places.

I have been using Dupont Silicone Spray but be careful to avoid the braking surfaces and seatpost.

Yes they do. This one has a nice clear plastic that helps prevent scratches. It's well built and designed.

Maybe their product is ok but I never received it - they couldn't write address properly so it was sent back after I managed to pay custom fees. They didn't show much interest in making this right, sometimes they would respond to the email with few days delay which was annoying. This made me ask for a refund and they didn't refund E 30 for shipment which they made the error on in the first place!
