I loved this little insight into Newfoundland. Such beautiful scenery, and the footage of your little family was particularly touching.I’d love to visit some day (from the UK). My maiden name was Pinsent so there may be distant relatives thereabouts.

Ohhhh there are definitely Pinsents around these parts. That name is actually royalty around here. The late, great Gordon Pinsent was a Newfoundland treasure! I hope you make it here one day!

I have travelled all over Canada and the US and the #1 lighthouse in my opinion is Twillingate. Home sweet home. Great video.

Thank you. I am partial to the one at Rose Blanche but the Twillingate lighthouse is definitely my second favorite

@@mark_royle_newfoundland I know it very well. The government should invest more in protecting these sites all over newfoundland and the roads...lol

I was in NFLD this summer and stopped at Cape Spear, Bonavista as well as a few others , one you really need to check out if you haven't is Lobster Cove Lighthouse in Gros Morne. Breathtaking spot and my favorite of the 5 I went to , Cape Anguille lighthouse was also a great spot, we stayed at the cabins across the road and got a great view of it off the patio .. heading back this weekendn for a quick trip .. hopefully going to make the drive out to rose blache if it's not to snowy 😅 Can't wait for a future trip I have Ferryland and Twilingate on my list as well !

Awesome. Yes I have Lobster Cove on my list for this year. I'm hoping to spend a few days in Gros Morne in the late summer or early fall and I'll make sure to pay a visit to the lighthouse there.

You never go to Burin. You should do a show on the Fortune Head Ecological Reserve. They have a lighthouse and fossils and a museum. I think you can even look for fossils if you hike the trail. And don't forget Shoal Cove Beach. Beautiful sandy shoreline. I'm from Ontario and just bought a house in Fortune and my aunt has already moved and thinks it's great there. I want to see where I'm moving.

I love Burin and have featured a couple of areas around the peninsula in other videos. I haven't been there since sumer 2022 and I hope I can get back this year to see some more of the places I haven't visited yet. I'll look for the places you mentioned. Thanks!
