So interesting to see all these abandoned places. Shame more can’t be repurposed. Thanks for sharing Bro 😎😘

I often think that it would not take much to open them to the public. It would help preserve them too.

Great video of the history, I love seeing these places. I had a google and that bunker to the north in the woods was apparently the entrance to an underground passageway leading eastwards to link with the fort.

FWIW National Coastwatch isn't actually the Coastguard. It's a volunteer organisation that decided to take on some of the lookout duties that the Coastguard used to do.

Y'reckon your mystery structures in the woods are one of those cold-war observer posts/ bunkers?
@frogmaster833 жыл бұрын
Could be. The site is listed on the WW2 database as a machine gun post. Its something way bigger now. 🤔

Its a great visit Newhaven Fort was a tenner when i went in a few months ago, and you get free access for the year if you show your ticket! Bargain! Nice to go for a swim on the beach at the bottom of the fort as well

You can get in the fort sometimes, but sadly not the WW2 bunker anymore.
