Agree with the damage. There used to be a little campsite on Dartmoor. Only a shower and toilet. Used to be able to have a campfire by the river, this was stopped as some were going into forestry land next to it with chainsaws 😢 Shame, this was a great place to stop whilst hiking to get a shower (and a pub up the road!). It was only £3.50 for a night. People abuse, owners complain, ruinned this handy little gem for good.

Hi Alan, great honest video, we all have our personal trouser choice concerning comfort, pockets etc but (part 2) concerning the 1% of people going into the woods and trashing our beautiful woodland areas, you are spot on with what you said. We are getting looked upon as part of the problem of these people who leave trash everywhere they go, as you say more so since covid, even though most of us 'real wildcampers' carry (rubbish) bags to clear up crap left by others (we have been out for a wildcamp and actually found human shit and used toilet roll left alongside cans, bottles and other litter). We must stress in our videos the great need to leave no trace, this IS our motto and has always been the way we do things. Always good to see your videos, i think we all need to follow you with this one and let viewers know that we care very much for our countryside, the wildlife and the other people who want to enjoy the unspoilt beauty that surrounds us.

If you want a good pair of outdoor Trousers 👖 have a look at Cotton Traders outdoor rainproof Trousers I wear them myself , they have zip pockets and leg pocket and good in rain and cold weather, I can't remember but I think they sell for £35 pounds which I think is good value. I know what religion you are referring to and I quite agree with you , it's up to the decent people of there communities to stand up against the radical element of there communities by naming and shaming them out maybe its time even I don't like to say it we need something like the American CIA in our Country because things will get worse than what they are now if something isn't done , this Country needs to protect its people.

Hiya Alan, I enjoyed listening to this chat, and I like those trousers, which I might look for a pair, I have similar to those, most of my outdoors trousers are ex military, some Camo, some just green, and jackets too, as for chat number 2, I’m next to you as always, there is a point I’d like to mention but on here, it gets like Facebook, 😅 I had a Facebook account but closed it because I found I’m talking to A but end up talking to D, lol, but if I was having a camp coffee with you, I would chat on things, between us, but, maybe coffee won’t happen so I’ll just listen….look…..and learn…😂, people that don’t show respect to nature now I’m sure it’s because upbringing is different, when I was at school, we had nature talks, and woodland visits, in the scouts we had lectures on wildlife, when I was in the YHA I had loads of talks at our headquarters on nature life and how to respect it. But today, life isn’t connecting to nature for most children now, some I believe finish school life, without any knowledge of wild life, and it’s benefits to human formation. Scouting, Cups, Army Cadets, ect ect, seem to have disappeared, I believe that seeing a beautiful picture is created within the heart, not the head, eyes show the brain, but the depth of kindness and love is from our hearts, no matter how beautiful a boat is built, on dry land, it can’t function, so be our heads without a kind heart !! Now…..where are these bloody trousers 😂😂 Brian

Part 1.......Awesome. KZbin camping without wearing Andy-pants. Hahaha(Ask Marc about Andy-pants,) Part 2 ......It's not just there, my friend. It's bad like that here in the states, as well. I'm not sure of the answer, but I've always been told that you get what you tolerate. I think we need to stop tolerating the fringe extremist in all groups, starting with any groups that we are part of. The trick is figuring out how to do so legally and peacefully.

Out of interest regarding trousers, my go to autumn winter are the original German Moleskin trousers, about 35 pounds, after washing once they shrink slightly to the exact ordered size, you can use olive dylon on them to give a deeper olive, leg ties, button fly, mossies cant bite through them or ticks, Flecktarn UK stocks them in olive or tan, brill bit of kit

The way you define a radical is by their extreme behaviours. I completely agree that it is the small minority that give everyone else from that group a bad name. ISIS does not represent Islam, just the same as the KKK does not represent Christianity. (I actually have to be aware of this as it is part of my job in training people)

There are loads of a holes around the country , and the council can do what they want ,but it won't change a thing, unless examples are made ,the chavs will still destroy everything, more so when places are locked up .maybe the solution is to have permits , this is not against and belief system ,its about common sense,
@jim-bob-outdoors5 ай бұрын
I would not be against a permit system of some sort. Trouble is then the claim would be that its excluding some people. You cant win until we change the attitude of the general public, especially the young.

I know and understand, exactly what you are saying. I see similar behaviour in and around Plymouth, Devon and the near national park Dartmoor. Dartmoor Rangers, are back up by SIA approved Marshalls. They basically take smart phone photos and contact the Police; almost professional witnesses, time, date vehicle registration, description of incident. The rubbish, tin tray b b q s, lager bottles, beer cans etc etc, are the evidence. Some are prosecuted in court but very rarely.
