In their most recent statement, I realized something worse about all of this. A. These girls reinforced the idea that they paid off their debt. It isn't the biggest deal, but for what I'm theorizing, it might be a big deal for them. I think the reason NWJNS genuinely believes they have ZERO penalty fees is because they believe their investment fee (cost of debut and training under HYBE/ADOR) is the penalty fee. They either think the investment debt they paid off is the penalty fee, or, they think they will only get a penalty fee if they don't pay the investment debt. What they fail to realize is that the penalty fee is a fee that states the estimated revenue garnered over 7 years (July 2022--July 2029) will be paid if the contract is terminated early. So, if NWJNS is estimated to make 100M over the course of 7 years, that's what they're paying as a penalty fee. (100M isnt real number for this btw) B, These girls aren't prepped for court at all. They couldn't answer the bare bones of questions legally that reporters threw at them--and they are easy questions! Easy questions for anyone who did a little bit of legal prep. I don't think NWJNS thought ADOR would actually sue them or go after them legally. In fact, I think they've fucked themselves worse. NWJNS claimed their contract was terminated which would potentially force ADOR to file an injunction saying it wasn't terminated--burden of proof would be on ADOR. However, NWJNS and their legal team predicted or expected wrongly. Instead of filing an injunction, ADOR filed a suit to ask the COURT to decide if the contract was terminated. Because NWJNS are the ones claiming the contract is terminated, they have the burden of proving the contract is in fact terminated on proper legal grounds, or, prove ADOR violated it and mistreated them. Not only will this cost a lot of funds for them in the long run, if they have no evidence and lose the case, they're really racking up debt. Besides that, if they have no evidence, NWJNS would be sitting in court basically proving they lied and violated their own contract. So if they win, they get to leave, but if they don't, they basically prove in court that they weren't mistreated and violated their contract due to a lack of evidence. Then, they'll potentially be stuck between paying the penalty fee if they really want to leave, or they go back to ADOR. However, the backlash they will receive from going back to ADOR might be career ending. They've garnered hundreds of thousands of fans to believe they are being mistreated, are leaving the company, and want their CEO back. Going back to the company would do nothing but show that they lied (from an outsider's perspective), sent fans and others on a wild goose chase, and did all of this for nothing. They will be looked at as spoiled, lying brats, who are no-good hypocrites if this were to happen. They have somehow managed to have shot themselves in both feet and knees. TLDR: NewJeans have somehow tarred and feathered themselves even worse than before and are hostage in a legal sense.

To be fair Fifty Fifty truly suffered greatly including the potential death of one of the members. What they did not see was that the abuser was SIAHN/The Givers not their label Attrakt. When Keena noticed the Dispatch articel - because she was curious - that showed how some of her copyrigt was stolen she took a deep dive into what was actually happening and got her father to help. That resulted in her going back and asking for forgiveness. She did try to tell the other members the truth but they were too hurt to believe and are now suffering the consequences of that, too.

After they publicly cancelled their contracts, they might thought that ADOR will came to them kneeling and apologise, but... The reality kicked them hard, and they don't like that. ADOR sent the case in court to validate the contract between the agency and NJ idols. So, ADOR didn't filed for ending the contracts as they wanted, and now they are upset. Before the 5 idols were unhappy, now they are mad because they cannot continue working in ''inhumane'' conditions under ADOR. What's really important in this case, is that, HYBE/ADOR behaviour in NJ case, absolutely legally, made the whole kpop industry to support HYBE in this matter. Because what the 5 troubled idols are wanting to do with ADOR's contracts is jeopardising the entire kpop industry. Even if they don't recognise, all in kpop know, that idols under HYBE have good conditions to work, but some other labels can have big problems if their idols will fallow NJ idols recipe. So, two of professional entities in kpop shown publicly their dissatisfaction with the idols behaviour regarding to their contracts with ADOR. Unfortunately, if the 5 idols will continue this stupid situation, they might end being banned from kpop if they are leaving ADOR. Also ADOR might be their only chance to continue as singers/idols. It’s also one thing to break a contract, but to SAY you broke it…do you know what that says in it? They never stopped doing anything they were scheduled, and only stopped saying their name. Second. in the contract itself, there's a term that states if one of the two parties violate terms in the contract, the other party can send a letter, demanding the party that violated terms to fix what they violated within 14 days. If the party that did wrong can't do that, the other party is allowed to end the contract. Don't act like you guys know the contract more than insiders who read and sign that contract themselves. Any other artists in the industry, whom have reactions about this situation, support the girls. They surely know more than we do. And in the end, when everything is exposed, we'll know who's right and who's wrong.

I'm not sure if they are reckless or not because, in the end, we will only know when everything is exposed when one of the two parties provide us proofs. But before truly knowing who's right and who's wrong, I don't think we should assume any of thw two parties lying (unless you have proofs). And I hope the girls actually have proofs of what they said and made a bold move instead of creating a stupid mess. I kind of trust them to know better than speaking up when they have no actual, firm proof. So I'll just wait and see at the end of this drama, who will win.

However, the way the girls went to announce their contract termination is wrong on so many levels. First, when you give a 14 day response delay, you can claim the other party did not respond on the 15th day, not the 14th day. They did not wait for the end of the delay which legally makes them at fault. It shows that they were not really interested in the response, but rather wanted to terminate their contract in any way. 2. They cannot uphold a press conference and say their contract is unilaterally terminated without having gone through an injunction to prove that ADOR breached the terms of the contract. Any contract, even with proof of breach has to be legally broken by an official source, especially when there is a conflict. In this case the fact that they did not want to file an injunction makes their claims sound suspicious and unsubstantiated. 3. If ADOR breached the contract, so did NJs… let’s say what NJs say is correct and ADOR breached the contract…when? Before or after NJs gorilla live-video? Before or after all the meetings scheduled that the girls refused to attend? Willingness to abide by the contract has to come from both sides and it doesn’t look like the girls did their upmost best to establish a discussion with ADOR. May be I’m wrong but it doesn’t look like it. To summarize, now that ADOR is suing them to confirm the validity of the contract, we will end up knowing the truth about the breach or no breach of contract from ADOR’s side. However, the way the girls went about it will remain wrong no matter the results of the lawsuit and that is why they are receiving so much criticism.

Plus, even if (by some remote chance) they're allowed to break the contract, that doesn't mean they won't have to pay a penalty for the lost earnings, defamation of Ador and also face the consequences of conspiring before the contract was legally terminated. I don't think they're thinking about these details.

The contract involves money, and it should end up with money.. as simple as that. Pay as u go.. idols got trained, companies are taking risk to promote them.. then once they are successful they can just leave without paying cause they already pay the expenses? 😂 what about the profit they are supposed to make in 7 years? The problem is kicking MHJ out! If HYBE hadn’t done that, the chaos wouldn’t have happened. It’s odd how they changed all of NJ’s staff and even removed MHJ, who made NJ what it is today. MHJ was caught plotting to destroy Hybe, leave Ador an empty shell, and steal NJ. She spelled out her plan in her kakao chats ever since 2021. When Hybe found out from a partner whom MHJ and her VP approached to help them force Hybe to release NJ/Ador, Hybe started an audit, through which, they also discovered an embezzlement scheme that MHJ was fully aware of. When MHJ refused to turn over her laptop and participate in the audit, she started her media campaign and decided to use NJ as a shield. No legitimate company with a duty to their shareholders would have kept MHJ on as CEO after discovering her plot. NJ wasn't involved in any of this, although, that is becoming more questionable as new information comes to light. NJ deliberately stepped in the middle of it, and actively participated in disparaging Hybe and Ador, their colleagues in other agencies, and the newly appointed Ador CEO. These are all facts. At this point, they've destroyed their own careers, and they also appear to be complicit in this plot.

No the problem was not kicking MHJ out, the problem is MHJ. There is evidence that she tried to steal from HYBE (in the first court injunction she won, the judge said that while there was proof she tried to harm HYBE, she did not harm ADOR and that’s why she won, not because she was innocent) and no company in their right mind should keep an employee who is actively trying to sabotage them. HYBE had no interest to put NJs to the side… they were their most money maker among their gg. MHJ has set up a media campaign to shift the blame from her to HYBE. Just like the so-called “internal report” that every MHJ supporter upholds as proof of HYBE’s plans to put NJs aside: that report is a market research report; it is supposed to be an objective compilation of the trends (and comments) seen online about the K-pop industry with the positive and negative comments. Then, you analyze the comments and write recommendations about the trends. It is NOT the strategic plan of a company, it is an analysis of trends (I should know, I’ve worked for 15 years in market research). Companies use those reports to inform their decisions, but they do not to take those reports as is. So the “leave NJs to the side to uphold LeSserafim and Illit” are actually quotes of what k-pop fans were saying online, it was their fear plastered on the internet, that have now been taken out of context and attributed to a strategy of HYBE. Business-wise it was the right decision to kick MHJ out and to want to keep their money-maker group NJs. But do you know who wanted to take NJs with her out of HYBE before all this began? MHJ. By planting rumors that HYBE did not support NJs, she was able to shift the blame and make her into the savior and only mastermind of their success (which is not the truth ).

@@ajeremyalanqe just being 20 doesn't mean you are freed from running off an irrational young brain. it took me until at least 24 to stop being especially quick to just be mad at everything. i haven't done extensive research into the studies about the human brain but you need a lot more life experience before you can even say you are mature enough. heck even at 24 it's not as if I'm there yet either.
