Hey moxsy you can use ur Weaponset Points 24 , i dont know how diffrent it is to ur lightning build but what u can do is "unspec" 24 Points u need for Ice , Press On Weapon Set 1 -> than use the 24 Points for ice , Swap to Weaponset 2 and use 24 Skill Points for Lighning if it is enough , than you just need a "second" bow. So you just need to swap the Ring for Bossing and you are using both builds.

Had the build for lightning ranger from you and it was awesome on my 1st time on t1 map. Just need more survivability, and quicker mob clear, vs the ligthning arrow + rod. Overall the lightning build last time save me a lot of resources and time clearing act 1-3 cruel. This ice build seems cool, pun intended.

If your using Cast on Freeze use Voltaic Mark inside it and you can either Lightnight Arrow(+freeze buildup) or Ice Shot (basically instant freeze buildup), same thing. IMO I like Ice Shot for faster buildup but Light Arrow can be used with Lightning Rod to synergies dmg. Most important is Voltaic Mark

so what you are saying there is no such a thing for ice shot like for lightning arrow combo? LA+Rods+Ligtning ORb ??? This combo is power full. Orb and rods on boss and frying him with LA. I suppose there is similiar thing for Ice Shot. There is not????????

@ no I don’t thin ice shot will ever be strong enough for single target light cast on shock with orb + rod. Ice shot got a huge buffed and the way it works is good for map clearing coz of the projectile that comes out of the ice shot and ricochet and it’s a cool graphic I can’t lie. Brewt came out with weapon swapped passive that I’m currently using and it’s conveniently you don’t have to switch any gems. Cold for map clearing and lightning for single target.

@@Mentally_Vile Look at what stats you see directly near the starting area of the passive skill -tree- constellation and those are the attributes most relevant to a given class.

Cold and lightning dmg should always be intertwined. They work well in tandem so far in this game

@@Mentally_Vile it is indeed possible to use both ice and lightning atleast through the main story and into cruel playthrough. how effective it can be in endgame content remains to be seen. As for your skill tree you are going to want to work mainly towards damage boosting perks to start with and some evasion here and there ultimately building more evasion as you get further into the tree. As Moxsy suggestes peirce is not very usefull for your ice skills, moxsy's skill tree here is a great example of what to work towards but things like the snowpeircer you will want to work towards earlier as a lower lever character. if you plan on going lightning and ice i would suggest cutting through "harness the elements" and grabbing both "snowpeircer" and "surging currents".

Take off cast on shock/freeze and go with elemental conflux. Since you're 100% lightning to cold convert you'll have a huge dmg bonus for 2/3 of the time. I tried it on fubgun's setup & its crushes maps.

You got 2 other options. You can just use the 2 weapon set passives and get a secondary bow. The other option is go whisper of the brotherhood and go full lightning. Also with passives you can get lucky hits with lightning damage.

Another variant to this is Lightnight Arrow + Cast on Freeze(Voltaic Mark). Cold dmg on one of the gear + freeze buildup. One tapping most mobs

hey moxsy, maybe you should think of 2 weapons build, main hand using bow and lightning arrow setup for bosses and then off hand using crossbow and ice shards for mobbing , it could be one hell of fun build and it can be done in the skill tree with 2 different types of weapon , that's the intention of ggg to encourage players to try 2 weapons build

yes, i switched from raxx' build 2 days ago to Moxsy's LA build, Raxx'build is lacking single target burst. Using Magnetic Salvo instead of ball lightning though

i don't know if its me but feathered fletching node don't work has intended, i don't see an upgrade of damage with it or without it It is just below the heralb 50% cold buff if you have the cold herald on you, I test with more projectile speed, less projectile speed the dps don't move at all

Of course Cast on Freeze procs more often than Cast on Shock. Cast on Freeze gains 10 Energy and Cast on Shock only 2 Energy (if the tooltip is correct)

For the dps either use some kind of an overlay or just list it into trade and check the value on the website. Also no you should not look only at the dps (although) it's a decent indicator. An additional arrow is not included in the dps however it yields about 70 dps.

Bossing will be the problem. You need to be able kill t15 upgraded bosses in 1sec to be able to do anything vs the Ubers.
