I have the 5.11 #49 Escape Multitool. It's basically one handle with the automatic window breaker and the large hook/ rope cutter/Pry bar tool plus a pocket clip. It's pretty cool, and very lightweight.

Well, on the one hand I find it impressive, how many multitools you review and how quickly after they've com out. ON the other hand I would like to see more hands-on testing than telling what you've heard from others. I mean, seeing a guy on video showing me some stuff and guessing about it's features is less valuable than seeing a real test or at least reporting on an test really done.

1 time my Ex girlfriend went crazy and the Ambulance people put plastic handcuffs on her and they used a pull cutting tool to cut them at the hospital. I forgot about that since she was a Highschool girlfriend that I haven't seen in about 18 years. I believe it was a pocket knife style, but it was a pull cutter, and not a knife. Life is so much more quiet without her and my walls don't have holes in them. 😅

I think its a missed opportunity to not have one of the slots on the tool serve as the o2 wrench similar to the bit drivers.

I think any tool with an oxygen key is made for medical use oxygen tanks.

I appreciate that they use 8cr which I feel is appropriate for a multitool blade and is better than 420 series steel.

Wouldn’t work on your windshield! That’s laminated glass: all the other windows are safety glass and will shatter.

I carry a ResQme glass breaker and a SOG powerlock In my tunic for work (FF) along with zip ties, latex gloves, notebook. I carry either a Surge or Free P4 in my workwear along with some other bits. Some of the guys have the raptors but in all honesty I'd rather use the disposable tuffcuts than get some gucci scissors covered in claret.

This is a very poorly designed tool for $75. The lack of spring or lock for the tools is a major deal breaker.

Cool review and nothing against you but come on 511. This is super gimmicky and really dumb. Useless sorry to say. I like 511s pants and some clothing items but this is simply a grab at people's money who dont know any better. Lets start from the top. Pliers/o2 wrench. Not practical when i need o2 i need it now im not opening a multi tool and fudging around with whatever that monstrosity is. Plus the o2 tank is typically in an odd spot so getting big old Pliers in there is a no go. Zip tie cutters .. its called sherrs or a knife again very impractical to expect im shoving pliars between somones bound hands to cut them off. Glass breaker. Ok I can sorta see the point here maybe. But reality is a vehicle that is on all 4 wheels simply needing a side window broken for extraction is pretty rare usually theres an easier way in. This would be used for the drunk person locked in or a child in a car and we need fast accees. In reality when true rescue is needed true tools are needed. Vehicles are on ther side in a ditch or creed updside down and mangled. Window may already be broken , access is gained from cutting the body of the vehicle with power tools or the front window. Extraction from side windows is typically bot happening. Why do i need a screwdriver? Its not a pry bar im not tightening any screws on scene. Handcuff key ok? Ok i feel like im loosing it here at the end. My point is this. Cary a knife and some trauma sheers with a o2 wrench built in. If you want a glass breaker cool get a separate glass breaker. No need to fumble through a bunch of stuff.
