I cannot just say thankyou. My father was there too. You endured so much for Our Country. There are so many whom do not understand the suffering you endured. I remember the bayonet scar when I was young. "Daddy what us that on your back." He hurried and put on a shirt "Oh honey don't you look or worry about that". AND UNTIL Years later I did not know. And now I appreciate all of you that he may have known. There are no words. I cannot thank you. You were the endurance of your own freedom upon coming home to the country you so rightly fought for. God bless you for all of your endurance to come home to a country you kept free for you and your boots to come back and walk again on free soil you fought for. Amen. You are a hero to yourself. The memories of that hell never leave I would guess. You can see him reliving it as he tells things we can't even imagine even after he tells it.

This man showed more courage reliving this God Awful Nightmare, than I could ever muster. I can't imagine in my worst nightmare actually living such an experience!. This is why we call them "The greatest generation" what they had to endure to ensure our freedom!! They must be sickened by the way Americans act today. This is from 2012, does anyone know this gentlemen's status?

If the American people knew about the treatment of our service men during this time, the outrage would have been so large that there wouldn’t be a Japan anymore. Many of the atrocities were known by the brass and government officials but were kept from the citizens.
