Tidy little course Newquay. Some mad wind when i played there, 80 yard drives against and 150 yard sand wedges with 😂. Shot 83 😄👍. Great to see Chris out and about and that 60 degrees wedge is a beauty. Might have to try one out. Looking forward to part 2 ☺️👍

Gilly is always an absolute gem to have on the channel!! Love his insight as well as his humour! Would be great if just one time you could play there when the wind decides to take a day off 😃 Look forward to hearing Gilly mention the hotel from The Witches! Always a treat to see Gilly swing a club. I know how difficult Newquay plays and early on in my golfing days I finished my round and threw my clubs in the bin and went and sulked in the car like a petulant child. Luckily a dear friend who sadly is no longer with us, got them out of the bin and put them in the boot. I'm still playing this stupid game 50 years later 😕

Dan's difficult downhill putt from the back of the 1st green reminded me of a 70's tip from Tony Jacklin. Set up the putter face in the direction you have read for the borrow, but align the putter head with the ball some 3cms towards the toe from the alignment marking/CoG. Play the putt as if the green is flat! By making a deliberate mis hit the ball will end up right by the hole, if not in it! Practice the shot first outside of competitions to see if it works for you, it works for me. Great video again, Newquay GC looks quite different close up c.f. when you drive along the perimeter.

A brilliant vlog guys, on the 6th Dan we've all been there playing really OK in difficult conditions and then from nowhere a double bogey or worse appears and you walk away scratching your head thinking that big word...WHY....😢. For the time of year, the course looks in great nick thumbs up to the greenkeepers gang. Also like others have said its great having Chris on the channel a really solid golfer and fun chap to have around 👍. Onwards to part 2..

Good to see Chris and you playing again, the last time was a mere breeze of 30-40 mph 😂. Today playable. Your Callaway 2 iron, funny enough I bought a Ping Zing 2 iron couple of years ago. Paid £9.99 appears no-one wants them anymore. Changed the shaft from an unfriendly KT- M shaft to a graphite Aldila, much easier to hit now but not off the fairway only a tee. I am not that brave

As always a good golf video from you and love gilly on the channel......speaking of gilly , I watched a old rick stien program yesterday and I swear I saw gilly in it......some Xmas celebration and there was a guy banging a drum who looked like chris 😂......I took a pic of it as proof , just a shame I can't attach it to this message, just wondering if you knew about it?
