Watched Coleman play at Lincoln East. He was so lazy. They played Southwest and there was a physical corner matching up against him and Coleman folded like a lawn chair. Lazy routes. Zero catches. Dropped balls. Then just sat on the sideline for 2 quarters. No effort. Not gonna miss this guy at all.

If Malachi was coming along strong in development as a redshirt, he would have seen play time against USC or UCLA. Given he can have 4 games without burning his redshirt, we would have used him if it gave us a better opportunity to win. The fact that he didn't is probably indicative that he hasn't developed enough to crack the depth chart in the current room.

If he couldn’t be a difference maker here, why do people think he’s gonna magically get a higher NIL deal and better program to walk into? He could have been our WR3 next year in a system he knows and a higher NIL deal than he’s gonna get transferring. Makes no sense. Teams with robust NIL and winning cultures aren’t going to throw money at a guy who couldn’t start on the 110th ranked offense.

A program that hasn't won a conference title in 30 years? A program that is 0-25 against there last 25 games vs top 25 teams? A program who's current WR's who play absolutley suck at perimeter blocking to the point there were recent articles written about just how bad Neb's current WR's are at blocking. That will be the biggest mistake of his life? If anyone needs to hit the road it's that Mcguire kid. There is so much talent and speed in the WR room but for some reason they thjink Banks and Neyor are the only ones that can catch a ball, it's to bad they can't block. Coleman was doing good last year and he blocks good also. So why hasn't one of the fastest guys on the team been on the field all year? Same goes for Castanada, we saw his talents 2 or 3 years ago and man was that guy good. Now they say he's nursing an injury, BS! That Mcguire kid needs firing and if Rhule can't fire him then Rhule needs firing. If they lose Coleman, the whole coaching staff needs to go. What would really be ironic is if Coleman ends up at Texas Tech where Mcguires dad is head coach. Dittman, maybe you should find another line of work. You don't know what your doing. You remind me of your dad.

This is exactly why I don't like this portal nonsense. A player can disrupt a team in mid season because he doesn't like his situation or how they think they are being treated. You shouldn't be allowed to leave a team during the season and enter the portal right away, without some penalty, you should have to finish out the season. This is only going to get worse unless some rules and regulations are established.

You simply cannot convince me that Banks or Neyor deserve as much time as they have been getting. I bet that our adolescent wanna-be WR coach promised playing time to these two duds.

Remember these kids are leaving the schools at this time to get into the December portal. Now he has time to negotiate NIL, fit, system, etc.

An overrated 95 rated player. A track guy who is a developmental receiver. 11th best WR in the nation is a joke. Project as a receiver. Post players who are likely or should consider moving on as the roster is trimmed to 105

Probably a huge loss...wouldn't know with the incompetent coaches...but if he's not getting played he's probably the best on the team.

He really wanted to go to Colorado from the beginning. His family talked him into staying home. If he doesnt go to Colorado, Colorado State would be a perfect fit. They have NFL draft pick Tory Horton leaving after this season and the Rams are trending upward

Really ? I thought it was actually Mickey Joseph that talked him into coming back and changing his commitment to Nebraska

@femaleKCRoyalsFan Omarion Miller the WR at Colorado had the great relationship with Joseph. He was actually a Husker commit, then when Joseph left, Miller flipped to Colorado. Malachi Coleman was going to commit as well, they were on a Colorado recruiting trip together. Malachi was "crystal balled" by 247 Sports to Colorado. According to local reports in Colorado he signed with Nebraska due to his family's (mostly mom's) desire to stay close to home.

Malachi should have played this season...period! Our other receivers (besides Barney) haven't been stellar at all. I said it a while back that he should be playing. This is a huge loss!!
