A recent Daily Monitor political poll has caused a fair amount of controversy both in terms of its results and the consequences of its commissioning.
The poll gave President Yoweri Museveni a clear lead against a list of possible opponents who included Dr. Kizza Besigye and Amama Mbabazi.
Some opposition leaders are contesting its accuracy and methodology of the poll by claiming its results were fabricated to give President Museveni an unrealistic lead and dwonplaying the popularity of any erstwhile opponents.
