News report about Margo MacDonald who has died

Good people like this used to be in the UK Labour Party. That's why traditional supporters are deserting it in droves. This feisty woman was all that embodied the good old Labour Party we had yesterday not the out of touch weasels we have in place today...

Margo MacDonald was never a Labour minister, she was an SNP minister. She was the Deputy Leader at one point then decided to stand as an Independent in the early 2000s and was elected as an independent three times which is a hard thing to do.

Ricky Kelly missed my point, sir. I did not infer that Margo was ever a member of the Labour Party. What I meant was that this left leaning passion for political activity used to be the norm in the UK wide labour party. Not anymore. The UK labour party used to be a crusade now it is nothing. UK politics is a sadder place with Margo's sad loss....

stc40 fair enough, reading it again I can see what you mean. I do agree with you though on what you say about Labour.

Ricky Kelly no problem, my friend. I, myself, am from working class northern English stock who admires the Red Clyde-siders who spoke up for the working classes and those without a voice during a time they needed to be heard. Today, I have honestly lost count of Labour voters who will not be voting Labour next time simply because the party has lost its way....so all these opinion polls that put Labour in first place?????
