News Update - With the demise of Moviestuff will I still be scanning cine films?

Those of you in the industry will no doubt have heard this week that Moviestuff LLC will no longer be manufacturing, servicing or suplying parts for their cine film scanning products. How does this affect me? Watch this video and I will tell you.

I have a Mark 1 and have been talking to Roger about the 2K camera upgrade. Now, I don't have any choice but to continue with what I have. Glad to hear you are set up to continue. I never ever thought this would happen. Just goes to show, you never know.

Yes I have ordered the upgrade kit, been waiting for over a year now.

I am one of the unsecured creditors, having paid for the 4K upgrade to my Mark II a couple of years ago. This is a nightmare for about 212 of us around the world, though I am still running my machine without any major issues. I likewise hope someone takes it over... the FB group has been super helpful, but real support is going to take a commitment. Such a shame...

your best bet is to file a claim with your bank, stating you have been defrauded. Send them receipts, communications with MovieStuff, and anything relating to your transaction. Hopefully they will refund your money. Otherwise, file a claim with the Texas bankruptcy court so Roger Evans cannot discharge the debt.

I too ordered the upgrade kit, in October or 2022. I talked with Roger on the phone several times and received reassurances. Last month I received a leer from a bankruptcy court in Austin and talked with the court. I have a Mark II machine that is currently working fine, now that I have made that claim I await trouble. I was patient with Roger, no good deed goes unpunished.

What did they say when you spoke to them. I got that letter too but to be honest wasn't sure who to contact. I have the MK2 which is working great, I paid $2600 for the upgrade kit back in November 2022 and had exchanged several calls and emails over the past year with Roger, giving believable reasons as to why things were taking so long. What exactly do you say to this court when you speak to them. Many thanks.
