For DMK to get so many seats it's alliance helped it...But for ADMK it contested all alone(though alliance party contested in two leaves symbol).... If DMK would have contested election without alliance any then results would have been still more different

No actually that stats was different dmk won almost 50 percent where it directly it contested against ADMk and almost more than 28 seats the difference was so less than 1000 votes Leave that would they have announced Stalin as CM candidate and reduced the Congress seats to less than 20 like 2021 they would have gained majority in the 2016 polls still I would say 2016 polls was one of the best performances by both the parties DMK and ADMK it was a election to be remembered The dravidian majors were in prime form dispite forming govt so much times promises kept and didn't kept they trust the parties such a strong base laid by Anna Periyar Kalaignar MGR and Jaya
