Thor I enjoy as a character but “gods” in Marvel and DC are always in the bottom of the tropes I like. Because if they’re tens of thousands of years old why aren’t they already known about? Also Thor I think has an inconsistent power level common with guys like him and Superman. Super strong and fast, magic/energy/element projection and manipulation. Invulnerable, Immortality. But one reason I like him is because he can face multiversal threats. It’s just hard to see him fight Immortal Hulk after.

@@charlesgorman4919 I get that. Him, most speedsters, Swamp Thing, Super Man, Wonder Woman, Cyclops, Xavier, Emma Frost. But because he is a “god” with all manner of physical prowess including strength on par the Hulk and Juggernaut, super speed that lets him cross a Galaxy in minutes, immortality, and all manner of energy/ elemental/ magic manipulation on a cosmic level and one of the most powerful weapons in their existence in Mjolnir. There’s a guy called “Fernando Comics” whose favorite Marvel character is Thor and he pointed out the fight against Immortal Hulk. He was punched hard enough to fracture his skull and knockout a tooth, which is standard, but at that point Thor was cosmic level. Also the biggest inconsistency was that this Hulks body can be destroyed and grown back quickly and he allowed his skin to heal over Thors face suffocating him. It was clear Thor is immune to suffocating because he doesn’t need to breath and regular goes into space with no problem. I get why they have to do that. Otherwise he could’ve burned Hulk to ash, beat him to “death” (he comes back at night) or thrown him into orbit, or the sun. It’s hard to write for power like that.

However, Thor wasn't empowered by the cosmic power nor the Odin force when he got concussed. He was still at his unworthy/recent Jason Aaron faze at that point. That version of Thor was shown to be no quite as powerful as the Thor we all know and love. As for the Immortal Hulk's arm suffocating Thor thing, yeah that was pretty stupid.

It's hammer time! Since I like the mythology of the different "Pantheon of Gods", Thor's my fav Avenger. With that being said, I pretty much hate how he's been handled in the MCU. They should've done his movies more like "Clash of The Titans" or "Lord of The Rings", because all that MCU "quirkiness" is never really done very well & it detracts from his character. If anything, he should've had a better supporting cast. The Warriors 3 should've been more of the "comic relief" & they should've been better utilized in his movies. And his "love triangle" should've been played up more by introducing Enchantress, as Loki's accomplice. The jealousy between her, Sif, & Jane would've been more entertaining. But I guess women would complain about that, & not mention the lame "love triangle" in the Twilight movies, because it was a female controlling it, by having two guys fight over her (by manipulating the guy she had no interest in, until she wanted to use him). But I digress.🤷‍♂

I love old school comicbook Thor. It's unfortunate the MCU made Thor a bit more silly and unaware at times. He doesn't need to be a gigachad all the time, but I actually enjoyed watching Thor's story arc up until Endgame. I hope the Love and Thunder trailer was misleading, because if it's exactly like the trailer, then I'll pass. They really wasted Hulk's gladiator storyline in ragnarok so I hope they're not doing the same with Gorr the godbutcher. I hope I'm wrong though and the movie turns out amazing!

What I love that Marvel has done in the MCU is make Thor that fun loving, adventure loving, smart, cool character that his is. I mean Thor is that superhero that you look at and say man he is man when it comes to the Marvel heroes, but you can just hang out with him, and he would very much enjoy just that; yeah...truly another one of my favorite characters.
