Of course, I hope that it doesn’t require this level of suffering for you to develop a deeper understanding of what it means to suffer. But for most people, this tends to be the case. my own mother dying of copd and congestive heart failure knew how i felt about this, that this is the one thing the dying has left control over when their illness ravages their bodies, she knew i would be the one she could turn to that would respect her wishes. this woman who was my biological fathers 2nd wife and who had lost her only biological child and a sister to a drunk driver and had adopted me at 25, made the decision far sooner than i would had wanted but she knew it was time, i had rushed home from texas and spent one last month with her and then one glorious spring day in 2019 i got the call that she had fallen and that before going unconcious she had asked for me something shed never done before and i knew it was time, i went signed papers and ordered all care to be stopped n said my goodbyes and as we had discussed i left, she didnt want me seeing her pass or her after wanted me to remember her as the firery foul mouthed saay lady she was. my hearts broken but i know i did the right thing and thats shes with my sister and aunt watching over me

I give these individuals so much credit. I don't know if I could ever "pick" the day I will die. But at the same time, I would never want to support the chemo/pharmaceutical companies, hospice, and doctors with so much money if I was not GUARANTEED I was going to be 100% better. Yet at the same I would not want to suffer. All I ask of my family is if I am ever terminally ill and deteriorating, just put a pillow over my face as I am sleeping.

The most common reasons for denying MAID to those who want it, aren't out of compassion for the patient, but due to the following reasons: 1. Abstract ideas of morality/spirituality (as complex as re-incarnation/cardinal sin/etc, right up till unicorns being real) 2. Lack of empathy for the suffering the patient is going through, often out of lack of a first hand experience of suffering so much ("it's not my problem, if they got the illness, its their duty to be strong and endure it") 3. Political leanings (people having far-right views tend to agree/disagree with any idea the moment you tell them that the idea belongs to right or left ideologies) 4. Emotional reasons ("What will happen to me if my father/mother/sister/brother/etc choose MAID? Who will make money to support me? Who will give me emotional support? How will I go cope with being alone?") 5. Plain and simple economic reasons ("Half the world will be gone due to MAID and there won't be any economic activity to support my fun lifestyle")

My mom died of cancer over 20 years ago. There was and is no assisted dying in my country. My mom was a Christian and i know she would not have taken that option due to her faith. I don’t believe in taking your life just because you can’t do the things you like. I believe only God has the right to take the life He gave. To me the biggest question is do you know where you will end up when you die? If you are not in Christ, you are on your way to hell unfortunately. This is the most important decision. The soul never dies.

What Happen when a Person Die? In order to get the correct answer, let us consult the infallible word of God. And the safest way to start is to ask the question: Q. 1) How did God create or form man? A. Genesis 2:7; And God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. Note: In forming man, God used two substances namely: 1. Dust of the ground 2. Breath of life Note: Now that we know how God formed man, we can safely answer the above question by reversing the process in which God formed man. To illustrate: Ii At Creation: Dust of the ground plus breath of life = man or a living soul At Death: Living Soul minus breath = Dust Q. 2) What happen to these two substances when a person die? A. 1.) Ecclesiastes 12:7; Then the dust return to the earth as it was, and the spirit (or breath of life, Genesis 2:7) return to God who gave it. A. 2) Job 27:3; All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils. A. 3) Genesis 3:19; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat thy bread, till thou return to the ground, for out of it was thou taken, for dust thou art, and unto dust shall thou return. Note: The three texts above clearly explained what happen to the two substances that God used in forming man at the time of death. At the same time, they also clearly answer the question. What happen when a person dies? The body return to dust of the ground where it was taken, (Genesis 3:19,)and the spirit or breath of life return to God who gave it. ( Ecclesiastes 12:7) The belief that when a person dies, there is a soul (immortal) that leave the body, and depending on how the person lived when alive, will determine where the soul will spend eternity, either in hell, to be punished and tortured for all eternity, in purgatory, with the hope of being brought to heaven or direct to heaven as the case maybe. This belief is contradictory to Ezekiel 18:20; The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The truth is, this belief is based on the Greek Philosophy called “Dualism” (pls check dualism in the internet) which teaches that the body and the mind are two separate entity, In that the body is physical while the mind is spiritual and immortal. Here lies this very dangerous belief. Why? Because if the soul is immortal, of course it is not subject to death. That is why, when a sinner die, based on this belief, the soul will go to hell to be tortured and burned forever and ever without end. What kind of punishment is this? Endless. Don’t make sense. It is because the soul is not subject to death, immortal. This is unbiblical. To dispel this erroneous belief, simple questions need to be asked. 1. Would our gracious, loving, merciful and longsuffering God, allow eternal torture and eternal life to co-exist? Of course not, for this will contradict His nature, which is God is love. 2. What kind of sin does anyone do, to deserve this kind of endless torture? There is no such kind of sin, for the Bible says; that the wages of sin is death, not endless torture. (Romans 6:23). According to Galatians 6:7; Whatsoever a man soweth, that he also reap. The truth is, God did not create anything or anyone immortal. For had he done this, then sin would be immortalized. The Bible said, that God alone is immortal. 1 Timothy 6:15,16. The reason is obvious, God knows the end from the beginning, Isaiah 46:9,10. Thus, he knew that Adam and Eve would commit sin, Genesis 3:6. and Romans 5:12; For by one man sin enter the world, and death by sin, in the death passed to all men, for all have sinned. The wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) Q. When will the person that died and who return to the dust, be made alive again? A. 1. John 5:28,29; Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming in the which, all that are in the graves shall hear his voice. And shall come forth, they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. 2. Daniel 12:2; And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Note: The two texts, clearly explained that the dead sleep in the dust and will come to life, when the voice of the Lord is heard at His second coming. Q. What event does the Bible say, would take place, when the dead which came forth from the graves/dust, and who have done good? A. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; For the Lord himself, shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Note: The event described in the above text, is referring to the second coming of Christ. (John 14:1-3.) Q. How about those that have done evil, when will they come to life? A. Revelation 20:5; But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. Note: In conclusion, with this text, the resurrection of all that died and in their graves, (John 5:28,29) from Adam and Eve at the beginning, up to the last person who will die just before Christ second coming, is hereby completed. The reward of them that hath done good, is described in 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17, and in Revelation 20:6; Blessed and holy is he who hath part in the first resurrection, for the second death hath no power. In contrast, the punishment of them that hath done evil is described in Revelation 22:8, and is called the second death. .

death with dignity is not the end of suffering if you do not have Jesus in your life. You do not get to heaven being a good person, or doing good deeds. The bible says, unless you are born again, you cannot seen the kingdom of god. We are all sinners upon birth, and if we dont repent and trust in Jesus, we will go to hell. Research for yourself. it sounds harsh, but there is no other way than through Jesus. You are to put it in Gods hands, because you are not the owner of yourself, God is. And if you trust in Him, he will give you what it takes to get through. Its in his hands, not yours. But you must ask him into your life first, and he will give you eternal life. I only tell you this cuz I care, and so does Jesus.

Jesus recognized that sick people need doctors. He did not condemn using doctors and 'earthly remedies'. Yes, Jesus performed many healing miracles while he was on Earth. But these were partly to show people that he was the promised Messiah (Luke 4:18). I'm just trying to point out that everyone needs Jesus before their time is up. Most people believe that everyone goes to heaven, and that if you are a good person he will let you in. If I was down stream and knew there was a waterfall up ahead, and you were coming down in a boat, wouldn't you warn me about the waterfall ahead? That's all Im doing, is warning people that we need salvation before we die, by trusting in Jesus, so we know where we will go when our time is up, because I care, and so does Jesus. Its all biblical, its what Jesus said. Unless you are born again, you cannot see the kingdom of God.

What a bold statement, everyone's relationship with Christ is personal and you have no idea what may of happened seconds before he died. It is God's will that none will parish and all will come to the knowledge of him. It is God's desire that all will be saved. In the same breath I completely disagree with ending your life no matter what the situation is however it is not the unforgivable sin. Dying without Jesus is.

Hunting is still far more ‘humane’ than supporting the mass produced meat and dairy industries. At least with hunting you’re killing and eating animals that were born naturally in the wild, already destined for suffering and death.

That's committing suicide. The law is stupid to allow people to take their lives because of pain or because they can't do their hobbies. That's wrong. Jesus Christ willinglingly took the cross with the worst pain and so should we. We are a selfish in this world.
