Annapolis Royal Nova Scotia here. Now that is a real weather forecast right there. My father always had the radio tuned into a station in Maine. He planned his days around Maine weather always saying that whatever Maine gets today, we will most likely get tomorrow. Thank you for a great weather report . Stay safe everyone.

Thank you for your updates! We live in PEI, and we were not properly informed last year as Fiona was approaching. Not making that mistake again. The Canadian government won’t say too much about this hurricane “it’s too far away still”. The Eastern end of the Island (where we live) was nearly flattened by Fiona. We are still trying to clean up from it.

Like the video🙏 Very clear explanation. Lately I have become quite interested in hurricanes. I realise that there is so much power in different elements on our planet. How the hurricanes speed up in energy or loose more energy, there is so much to it! Well......grabbing a piece of pizza 🍕doesn't really speed up human energy. Why not suggest grabbing some fruit 🍎or a nice cooling cup of fresh water 💦. That is really more beneficial for the energy of human species😊

Any idea yet of the type of the storm surge we might expect in the Boston area, along with where the tides will be as Lee passes the Mass coastlines? We live right on the coast in the lower Cape Ann area, just north of the city, & I remember Hurricane Bob absolutely wacked us, even though I was only 8 then. We walked down to the beaches to find boats ended up in peoples yards. Since Idilia, I have become somewhat obsessed with watching hurricane / typhoon / crazy weather videos, which unfortunately there seems to be endless content from the last couple weeks alone. Our planet clearly isn't too happy as literally everyday there has been life-alterting weather occuring somewhere around the globe. Glad I just came across this channel, will certainly keep up with your postings.

Have a beach house right on the coast south of Boston. Actually, it's half way between Boston and Cape Cod. Our family is used to the drill, but anyone on the coast or inland close to the coast should be aware and ready. This is the most detailed information I've heard so far, more in depth than local news in my area. Thank you!
@GemRippers
@GemRippers Жыл бұрын
@@sdp8364 Yes, thanks I actually just came across Ryan's page a few days ago. And in his latest video on Lee he circled an area that includes Boston and says "things could get really choppy & quite dangerous farther to the N & E". I am definitely going to be down at the beaches over the weekend getting first-hand content but also to experience it thru my own eyes & lenses, since Hurricanes effecting the greater Boston area are nearly once in a lifetime type storms. Obviously I will be doing so as safely as possible and not alone.
@GemRippers

@@leecowell8165 Great tip thanks! So, my city (Beverly) is 36', above sea level while my house is 60', being only a half mile from the beach but I live atop a very big & long hill, so a storm surge means nothing to me personally. I more so asked because my parents live right on that beach & had their stairs that lead onto the beach swept away 6-7 years ago (house is 33', those stairs are 10'). Also to note, that beach is crazy during extreme lowtide you can walk over a quarter mile out (it is all sand the entire walk out) right until the drop into Beverly Harbor. Thankfully their home is more in like a gully / cove that leads to the harbor & has a long grassy hill in their yard that leads down to those stairs. For these reasons it would be pretty difficult for a surge to climb that 23' hill and affect their home (knock on wood) and also because the house is not directly facing out to the Atlantic, but is in a cove facing almost into the harbor (similar to like downtown Tampa being tucked in away from the Gulf; just look at if from above. Yes I know they got severe flooding due to Idilia, but that's because how flat FL is in comparison aka below sea level). However, the high winds of Lee certainly can be detrimental considering the amount of very large trees around their home & the beach's playground nexta it (KOW x2). That being said, theres plenty of my city's coast line that is directly in the crosshairs of an overflowing Atlantic, as well as towns up and down the entire Mass coast in general. Typical, the South Shore (aka south of Boston; I'm in the North Shore) is greatly impacted by storm surges / flooding, but again, Hurricane Bob crushed my city's coastline. Sorry for the novel lol I guess it's still a wait & see...
