not realistic, not realistic at all. we're talking about the extinction of the white race. remember, the white race only makes up about 10% of the world's population. unchecked migration into traditionally white areas and then calling for unity is an absurd comment. anyone with any sense or caring for diversity should not accept a race being culled from the planet. in a hundred years, there will be more black people. in a hundred years, there will be more latinos. in a hundred years, there will be more asians. in a hundred years, there may not be any white people left at all. and the only trite statement you can make talks about unity. will you weep when there are no more white people?

First time i saw this movie, I had visited America for the first time and I was on a greyhound bus from New York City to Washington DC. i think I was actually struggling from Malaria at the time. I will never forget the emotion I felt watching it. This was July 2003. I did know the title of the movie. I returned to Ghana and once I moved to the UK a year later, I found the movie at HMV.

Great story, I believe team sports are an amazing way to see past appearances and just appreciate individuals. You and your teammates are family. Winning together, laughing together, losing together, crying together... Doesn't matter if you're white, brown, skinny, or big. Once you get on that field together you're all working for a common goal. Pushing each other and aiming for victory as a team. Obviously not every team is like this, but the ones that are change lives. I don't think I'd be the man I am today without my football and wrestling coaches helping guide me down a good path. (along with my parents of course)

It's a shame because Yoast was a better coach. It was him, not Boone, that made the team that season in '71. The defense that season had nine shutouts, and Yoast spearheaded the D.

You can't assume a man's ability to Coach based off of one side of the ball. It's a team sport, with offense, defense, and special teams contributing. Both Yoast and Boone played a big role.

Even if he was, America wasn’t a meritocracy yet for many. Boone wouldn’t have been considered for a HC job even if e was better then. I’m sure Bill’s legacy as a man who took the back seat in order to progress society as a whole means more than the HC job.
@chancecooper40063 жыл бұрын
They doing the same thing now that they did back then...Handing out jobs based on diversity and not competency. This guy won the championship the year before and gets told he cant be the coach. Something is wrong with that.
@bigstink93 жыл бұрын
Both Boone and Yoast were qualified to be the head coach. There's nothing wrong with diversity when both candidates are qualified. Also, no other Blacks were chosen to be head coaches when all three schools merged. Gimme a break. If yall can't have EVERYTHING, then life is unfair.
@chancecooper40063 жыл бұрын

@@chancecooper4006 When three schools merge, not every coach is going to get to keep their old job. All the other coaching jobs went to White coaches. Boone was selected as football coach. Obviously Boone was qualified. The '71 T.C. team won state, had like 9 shutouts and was ranked #3 in the country. You just can't stand seeing a White man lose his job to someone of color. Stop being a whiny snowflake. T.C. has had waaay more White head football coaches than Black ones.
@jacquettediggs46332 жыл бұрын
Boone was actually hired as a head coach for one of the schools that ended up closing down and had won titles in North Carolina so he was absolutely qualified. And every minority in a high position isn’t just given their job due to diversity you better believe we busted our asses to get where we are.
