Avethine They’re so different and work well in different ways. Then I See You Again feels down to earth and real - honestly, that’s something Something to Believe In lacks. But then again, Then I See You Again also feels a bit more choppy and unfocused - it only really comes alive in the last two verses or so. I only wish they’d kept at least a bit of Then I See You Again or maybe reworked it into something better.

Then I See You Again I actually prefer over Something to Believe In, way more romantic and shows not only the love between these characters but the friendship they have built upon and really packs an emotional punch with what the story of Newsies is: Keeping faith in a new beginning and realising tomorrow is something worth winning (love those two lines just GORGEOUS!!)

Sami Popcornpup “The News Is Getting Better” gives Pulitzer this very nice Applegate flair and immediately sets up his intentions, character, and how he feels about the newsies in the first few bars. Especially the emphasis on that line: “My Newsies,” I think that line is VERY important to his characterization when its delivered like [these are not kids, they are my property] type thing

These are just my opinions, please feel free to disagree! :) 1) The News song isn’t bad, but I’m really glad they decided to go with The Bottom Line. I think there’s more momentum and tension in that one, it’s a bit more interesting in context, and it fits the show better 2) Why the freak didn’t they include the full Meda Larkin song?! That was fantastic!! 3) Then I See You Again is gorgeous & absolutely gives me the feels & shows a vulnerable side to their relationship. But I still adore Something to Believe In. I think both showcase their relationship in unique ways. Thank you for posting! :)

1. Kathrine isn't in the movie Sarah is and Sarah has no character other than being the girl jack falls in love with 2.movies are different from stage shows the reason it is in the play is that in stage musicals Jack and Sarahs relationship have to be explained through song in a movie musical these romantic moments can be expressed visually. A song about jacks love for a woman would break the pacing of a movie because we wouldn't even need one line to express how jack is feeling about the girl he is attracted to.
