I love that the aunt Terri pleaded to the court years ago to not have the brothers being executed and added 'there is been enough death in their family'. To me a death sentence is a horrible punishment to a person who suffered from years and years of sexual abuse & other abuse.

Everyone abuse story is different. How Milton and Kitty different from each other I'll never know. But so far the abuse from both families seem to have a deep history. Like Jose's mum abuse him and she was abuse by one of her uncles I hear. There is also other different abuse cases and not all of them are the same either. Kitty was sexually gross with lyle too, having him touch her as a boy, he stopped it not her and she got livid & jealous. naked photos only of the boys bodies no faces bc Jose was a pedo. Showed them at trial. parents were systematic abusers. But no one helped. As often occurs. Especially back then. No one had anything good to say about jose. Kitty helped Jose rape their kids by hiding it. Family testified over and over stories that confirm the suspicions. Everyone who spoke of jose felt he was the worst person and they were afraid of him. Imagine living with that. Sadistic parents. Now new evidence confirms it even more. Everyone whose talked about knowing the brothers only have good things to say about Lyle and Erik. No one has said anything condeming of their characters. But they have of the parents. They have said that they regret what they did and if they had their time over they would have done things differently and wouldn't have resorted to murder. They were severely traumatised people, especially Eric who had been emotionally, physically and sexually abused by the father since he was a small child. This affected every aspect of his psyche and personality. His father was a tyrant who had absolute control in the family and it seems everywhere else was well. Regarding the shopping spree, that again was a reaction to being oppressed all their lives and never having the freedom to do anything they wanted. When someone has been oppressed and suddenly gets their freedom, they go crazy for a while until they adjust to this new found freedom. Regarding the fact that the brothers have found love while in jail, why not? Why shouldn't they? They have a need for love and affection and belonging like anyone else, maybe even more so, after everything they've been through. They should never have been tried for murder as it was a case of manslaughter. When they committed this horrific crime, they did it in self defence as they were convinced that their father would kill them as he had threatened on numerous occasions. He would not let Eric go away to College, he just would not let go of the rapes. The poor guy was desperate and suicidal. His brother Lyle was protecting his little brother from the continuation of these rapes. Don't judge people when you haven't been in their shoes! Under the same circumstances people either commit murder or suicide because they are so traumatised they are unable to think rationally. These guys were unable to reach out for help and there didn't seem to be anyone there for them. This was the "normal" in their family. Jose Menendez was a psychopathic and sadistic narcissist who controlled everything and everyone in his life. He bulldozed his way through life, that's how he became so rich and powerful and not because he was a nice guy! His kids were terrified of him! Watch Dr Ramani and educate yourself about narcissism and narcissists and how they destroy the lives of anyone unfortunate enough to be involved with them in any capacity. Sadly, if you look around you, these narcissists are everywhere, particularly among world leaders, who are destroying this planet for everyone else on it! It doesn't surprise me. I only find out Kitty & her mother were abuse by her father. I figure either Kitty's brother Milton or sister Joan might have also been abuse growing up too. But why he doesn't defend them is beyond me. Or was he still angry he never receive any of the money from Jose's will and part of the money was to pay the lawyers during the trails in 1996?

The brothers shot there parents to death but this case has always confused me because if they were true Victims of Abuse why be in prison for this long maybe its how they brutally murdered there parents 😢 I was abused as a child but for some reason it seems to be different because Im a woman from my tortured Abuse left me with a Disability but my uncle saved me where were the brothers family where were Child Protection services and the police but they did nothing a very disfunctional family because I learn that joses mother abused him as a child infact she and other family members want the brothers released are they kidding me. Theres more to this story then any of us would believed but may the brothers now have redeemed themselves by doing projects and Graduations but that does not mean they should be free they could be targeted people are not going to forget what they did 😉

It’s not about whether or not they are rehabilitated. They were not likely to become chronic “ Dexter “ style serial killers to begin with, and certainly never posed a threat to the average American citizen. It’s about what they did to their victims. Extraordinary crimes call for extraordinary punishments. And 14 years per person is simply not enough. The attorneys here are sick. The brothers should remain where they are

That is a whole complete different category. The Menendez brothers killed the ones who had been abusing them throughout their lives. Susan Smith drowned her two helpless babies. Only because she wanted to be with a man who didn't want kids in his life. All the Menendez brothers wanted was for the abuse to stop.
