People need to look up Alan Wade Wilmer.....polygraphed by the FBI for one of the Colonial Parkway murders ....passed the polygraph decades ago and just recently identified as the killer through DNA....so, yes....a killer/sociopath can pass a polygraph completely guilty and absolutely lying their butt off...that particular agent let his ego, and the fact that the creep "passed" the polygraph, allow this guilty man decades of freedom and the ability to kill again..... complete travesty of Justice ⚖️⚖️⚖️

John is incapacitated and the PI is unconvinced that justice will be served even if we know who did it...leads me to believe the PI thinks John did it. Either way I hope the family can finally get the information they've needed and wanted for so long.

many times the person who seems most helpful & involved is the guilty person … i’ve watched true crime since it began in the mid-late 80’s & i’ve seen it soooo many times. look at mr helpful … i hope he gives a death bed confession about where Jodi is at least, just so her family & friends have answers & possibly a grave or memorial location, somewhere to pay respects. tho our souls are everywhere, Jodi is around her loved ones always ❤❤

From known info, back then, he seemed very keen to give police as much background info as possible, including those that could self-implicate if he was indeed involved. At the moment, more likely someone from his social circles who heard him openly talking about Jodi on a regular basis. He might think the friendship was harmless but the perpetrator was likely to be insanely jealous about Jodi being somewhat close to a much older male.

The private investigator gave a lot of new information. He said a lot without saying a lot. She’s in a body of water? She was weighted down by a specific weight. The guy that had last seen her owns a boat and named his boat after her. I’m sure he has a specific weight to anchor things down in the water! How is none of this new when did you find out all of this? The diary! The fact that the PI said that John was at the top of the list you people are never satisfied

Yes it does! Especially the fact that Jodie had a secret lover? Did he drive a van..? As well as it was a murder of jealousy, and the fact that out of 14 days dating, they had been together for 5 days. Maybe she thought things were moving a bit fast and said that to him. Maybe he exploded if he is a narcissist!

The vibe from John is quit disturbing and creepy even through the screen. I think he may possibly be the person who was stalking Jodi the year before. I get the feeling he was obsessed with her??

I’m sure it’s been considered - but - what about “Phone Records” from the various phone companies showing from what number(s) Jodi was receiving harassing & threatening calls just before going missing ?!?!! It’s so very basic but that’s what solves these cases sometimes!!! Hopefully all that was thoroughly researched .. Also - people “Already in jail” have oftentimes committed WAY MORE Crimes than anyone knows about… Thus- I believe “Jerry Lynn Burns” committed this terrible crime against dear Jodi…. Burns is already in prison for the Michelle Martinko crime but he was only recently convicted of that crime

Wow.. I followed this case several years back and never ever heard it mentioned that she was seeing a guy that was very secretive to her family? Thanks for the extra info, as this maybe the reason it was never solved? It sounds like whoever murdered her was controlling and possibly a narcissist that did not take it well when she may have said, things were moving too fast. I mean you just said that over 14 days they had been with each for 5 of these days. It does seem allot for having just met. Maybe he got too pushy to see her, when she may have wanted a break? 😡🤜 I hope you find him Steve, an honourable journey and search 🤔🌟

At the moment, I am inclined to think the perpetrator was someone who wanted to get close to Jodi but was never able to get close. Jodi being close to JV was already hard for this perpetrator to accept but perhaps he could still grudgingly cope with it since JV was very much older and always maintained to not being a lover. If this secret lover was around 30 years old and was seen being regularly with Jodi by the perpetrator, this could have triggered more jealousy from the perpetrator. Understandable why the other men kept quiet. They saw how JV was still seen as some sort of a chief suspect after so many years.

I would like to know if this was the first time that Jodi has slept in? I think that the older guy is sus, but I believe that she was ambushed by an opportunistic predator and she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I am hoping that her remains are located soon. Very sad case.

According to JV, Jodi spent some time in his apartment during the early part of the night and then went back to her apartment. Agreed with you it was more of an opportunistic predator, perhaps someone from the older guy's social circles. From known info, the older guy was someone more likely to talk than to keep quiet. He might have unintentionally blurted out Jodi's daily schedule in front of others without realizing he could be putting Jodi in danger.
