South Dakota Republican governors have a long history of racism and bigotry towards the Native American people of South Dakota. So when did she suddenly become concerned about the reservations in South Dakota? I was born and raised on one of them. Noem recently denied free school lunches for 25,000 under privileged kids in South Dakota. She also returned to the US government American Rescue Plan money that would have helped thousands of people that were displaced by the pandemic. South Dakota made the application process for the funding so complex that even most landlords wouldn't accept it. This was something that happened in several Republican led states. But she used the false narrative that South Dakota was doing so well economically that they didn't need the money, that was a brazen outright lie. There are cartels operating in both Rapid City and Sioux Falls , but she conveniently doesn't mention that. This is all a publicity stunt for Noem, she's trying to save face after her disastrous book tour, which exposed her as a corrupt liar, which she is.

Seven million for her advertising campaign just to get her face out nationally.
