This particular installment of _X-Play_ is what TVTropes would refer to as the program's "Funny Aneurysm Moment". The running gag of Sessler's "departure" is less funny in hindsight, considering his nasty split with G4 seven years later.

Spooie, they made Morgan wear her own clothes, just like TechTV used to do. Also, I remember everytime this episode played on G4, the forums would be like "OMG IS ADAM LEAVING?!?!?!?".

When the show first started taping in L.A. I sensed something up when I didn't see Adam wear the same good old loud shirts that he used to wear, ditto Morgan with her skirts. Then, on an L.A. episode of "The Screen Savers" a bit later in September, Kevin Rose spilled the beans. He said that they didn't bring their wardrobe to work like they used to do back at TechTV.
