utterly romantic and idealistic show. it depicts an ideal reality which can, hopefully, not only help us cultivate ethical and moral principles but motivate us at the same time to zealously fight for those beliefs, almost like a madman, a Don Quixote. A world of empathy, morality, wittiness and passion. A world as it should be. Bravo Sorkin!
@johnsmith98045 жыл бұрын
As with all shows that fantasize about how we wish the world would be, it completely ignores the fact that it could never be. This is Sorkin's design and/or flaw. He writes a story that makes people think that one day we will all be like this but what he doesn't admit is that he enjoys feeling smarter and better than everyone else that isn't like him. This is perfectly exemplified in this clip, as the reporter rips into a man no more morally repugnant than herself. It's a denial of the human condition and a claim to superiority without merit. Very few people are, or ever will be as smart as it takes to be this quick witted. Even the actors are only reading lines written by the far more intelligent writer. Sorkin is insulting his opponents and flashing his intelligence in your face and then takes your money because you think that you could be like him some day. However, as it is his design, it is also his flaw. By writing this way, he flaunts his superiority which would, by itself, be fine if only he didn't belittle his opponents. Bravo Sorkin for the lie he has been selling for decades. Let us hope that it bites him in the ass.

His app may be - well, certainly is - morally reprehensible, but if it is legal and it makes him money, because the idiot public actually likes this kind of 'news', but he sticks to his product, regardless of how hard she comes down on him. It's the market place that is the final arbiter of the value of the service his app provides. ' Btw, Gawker may be gone, but I wonder if somebody picked up the rights to this app, and some of the other intellectual properties.
