I love the park rangers who are enamored with their parks! The people who were stuck on the valley floor in 1849 were my ancestors. 50/50 chance my great great grandmother named it. OH and then you went on Island Packers to Santa Cruz - my old stomping grounds! If we still had our boat, you would have gone past it and my best friend is one of the owners of Island Packers :)

Thank you for this video! We had no idea there was so much to see and do. We always (and unfortunately) thought that Death Valley was just a very hot and dry place..... Can't wait to visit it!

Definitely! We've visited 5 NPs so far, planning on visiting Yellowstone, Tetons and Teddy Roosevelt here in a few weeks. And we love your channel, almost caught up from the beginning. 👍 Getting ready to watch the Mighty 5 next, of which we plan on visiting in 2026. Keep on keeping on! ❤️

Another informative video. First came to Death Valley in the mid-60s when my family traveled in a Ford Travelwagon camper van. We actually drove up the Golden Canyon road you showed in it. Looks like you have a Toad. We don’t. We most recently visited DV in 2022. We drove our View up to Dante’s View to beat the heat (in February).

So glad I found you on RV Unplugged. This makes me caught up. I went back and watched from the beginning. I’m sorry, I forgot to like some, I get so caught up in them I forget or one of the toddlers get quiet and I when I get back it’s gone on to the next video.

That was fascinating! Can you imagine the looks on early settlers faces when they saw Death Valley for the first time? I imagine there was no shortage of people taking the long way around, but wow - those views are jaw dropping incredible. To say those blue Pup fish are cute is an understatement. That blue just pops against the stones. Great video! Thanks so much for sharing this stark but beautiful NP. Safe travels!

Thanks, Lis! I think about what it would be like for early settlers and even those in colonial times to see a place for the first time. How incredible it must have been to not know what you were about to see! 👍 -Howard

Just started watching this series. It is so fun and so very well done. I had no idea Death Valley was so varied in landscape. I have visited 15 of the parks so far but none are ones you covered yet. Excited for those but really enjoying the ones that are new to me. Thanks for all the work you put into these amazing videos.

Oh my goodness! What a fascinating place….I haven’t been there since I was a child. There is so much to see and do in our State (and others, of course!), Death Valley is now another on “the list”! The immense size of it mind-boggling, so as you say, you must allow several days to really be able to take it all in. Wow…what a fascinating life of the Puff fish! You were SO LUCKY to go see them up close and personal! I learned so much about them, thank you! Sunday is my happy time watching the Newstate Nomads! I know I’ve said it many times before, but I truly mean it, thank you so much for your generosity in sharing your lives with us! You are so appreciated, more than you know. As always, love to you two, Virginia.

You guys are fantastic on your tours. I have been here several times, but have not been to the crater?? But, I did climb Telescope peak, tallest point in the park, about 12,700. At that point you can see the lowest point in lower US, Badwater basin and you can see the highest point Mt. Whitney. It was awesome. When you get to Great Basin NP, be sure to take the Lehman Caves, my ranger Lauren was awesome ❤❤❤

Loving your National Park series of videos. You two choose to go off the beaten path much like we do when we visit places. Gives us a nice list of places to go when we make it to the park. As a side note, our neighbor usually spends the winter in Death Valley and does volunteer docent type speeches on the history of the 20 mule teams and their wagons. Very interesting story behind them. Can’t wait to see your next video and add to our notes of places to see! Safe travels!

Your Vista doesn't look very aerodynamic, is there a secret to the boxiness?

@NewstateNomads11 күн бұрын
Chuck, sorry to hear you're not enjoying our National Parks series. We planned for two years the route, getting permission for filming (including special access like the NPS ranger giving us a tour of the Devil's Hole in this episode), and Winnebago's support is what made that all possible. Thanks for watching. - Howard
