@@NewstateNomads It’s true. We’ve subscribed & followed your channel since the early video on planning the trip to Mexico. It’s been nice to watch the channel grow but you’ve taken it to another level with the national park tour. I like the consistency of the format & the content is great. We especially enjoy the Ranger interviews.

Beautiful guys. I love your NP series. My schedule has me getting to this place at the end of May. I have been to BBNP, last week, your video made my 4 day there amazing. Also just left Guadalupe NP, also amazing. When you get there they have an amazing ranger tour to Pratt house and the Grotto, you must do. Also Frijole ranch trail to Smith springs, amazing stories of that area also. Then devil's hall a gorgeous hike. Then if you have the time Guadalupe peak, there is an amazing marker there. Highest peak in Texas, well worth the work. Thank you guys. Also was just at Carlsbad caves, another amazing park and the stories of the caves and how they were formed they are in the same mountain range of the Guadalupe mountains, so much geological info of this area and the permeim rock. Can't wait to see your reports. It is NP week, so I'm out exploring. What a week.

Hey Guys .. I really love your videos… What a beautiful place… will definitely be on our bucket list. I do have a question though, not related to the Channel Island. I could not find a video of yours for the Blue Ridge Mountains. Have you taken your RV through the Blue Ridge Mountains? We will be traveling cross country this Fall and on the way back the plan is to do the Blue Ridge Mountains, but my husband is really nervous about the tunnels. If you have been, do you have any pointers??

Are there flights to any of the islands? Loved the video. Thank you
@NewstateNomads10 ай бұрын
Thanks! To our knowledge (and just doubled checked the park website) it's only by ferry or private boat to the Channel Islands. The ride was relatively smooth on the ferry, and you should book the latest return ferry to maximize your time on the island. Alternatively, you can always tent camp on the islands! 👍 - Howard

@@NewstateNomads on the flip side, it would’ve added maybe 15-20 min to the hike and you might’ve missed the boat!! We camped at both Scorpion and Prisoners. It was hard hiking to get to the new Prisoners CG - gotta pack in all your water plus gear - but Scorpion has all that plus you can wagon your gear off the boat. And you can kayak and snorkel! It would be an awesome overnight. We are going back!

What a beautiful place, right in my own backyard! I’ve never been, but thanks to you, it’s yet another on our bucket list. Those adorable foxes, too! I want one! I am kinda embarrassed to admit I’ve never been to the Channel Islands! California has several National and State parks, and I always see the Channel Islands (on a non-foggy day) driving down the coast. As-always, many, many thanks for your “in-depth coverage” of all of fabulous destinations, including your expert videography and cheerful natures! Take care, love you guys, Virginia 💕

Awww my best friend checking people in and Captain Paige! We lived on our boat in that harbor for a very long time. The foxes used to be scarce and after a full-on protection / breeding / re-introduction program, they are prolific (and brazen). Potato Harbor was a little further W than you went and it is sort of shaped like a potato. These islands are a special place - can’t tell you how many nights we spent anchored on our own boat out there. 🥰
@NewstateNomads Жыл бұрын
What a small world! That is so cool! And yes, those little foxes have quite the story. Very brazen... especially in the campgrounds! Haha we totally goofed on Potato Harbor, if only we had walked the extra .1 miles 😂 lesson learned!!

Pausing at your eagle cam comment. Love them. One I've followed since 2014 is the Hays nest in Pittsburgh. Also follow the Glacier Gardens cam in Juneau and finally, the white bellied sea eagle nest in Sydney Australia. Happy you're an eagle lover, too.
@NewstateNomads Жыл бұрын
They are just so amazing! Learning about their behavior and habits has been so fun. I'll have to look some of those up! I have been watching a pair named Jackie & Shadow in Big Bear Valley and also love on eagle named Murphy who lives in a wildlife sanctuary... he became famous for trying to hatch a rock! Now he is taking care of an eaglet who was blown out of its nest!
@pglen6042 Жыл бұрын
@@NewstateNomads I know Murphy's story, love it and happy he has a real eaglet to raise. I've also followed the saga of the SWFL nest where mom disappeared and dad, M15, raised the 2 eaglets by himself. We named him "Dad of the Year"! Missing mom was the famous Harriet.

Hi! There's definitely some confusion about the existing law. It is not illegal, you just have to apply for a filming permit. Each park lists their requirements on their website under filming & photography permits. 😉
