Thank you for all your hard work. I will be binge watching all your episodes. Thank you for doing the National parks and getting the rangers to speak. Knowledge is a great way to understand them. What a unique & beautiful park! Great tour guides can really kick the tour up a notch. Thanks for sharing this amazing place with us. We may have to check out that RV park too. 😉 -Troy & Aimee

It's true about the tours! We try to balance showcasing the great work of rangers and guides to help others see the value in attending these types of events, with sharing our own experience at a location. I witness people expressing disappointment sometimes because they try and "go it alone" without the context or detail from an interpreter or guide at historical locations. My recommendation is taking at least a brief tour with someone knowledgeable and then exploring on your own to gain better insight into the place. 👍 -Howard

The showers are a great idea after an afternoon snorkeling! Also, yes Boyd's lives up to the reputation. Great location, lots to see and do and everyone is so friendly! It books up months in advance, but is definitely one of those places you have to stay at least once! 👍 -Howard

Another wonderful video, you two! I can’t get over the quality of your videoing!…absolutely TOP quality, making me feel like I was right there with you. When you are old(er), like me, you’ll be so grateful you chose to do all this traveling, seeing what the World has to offer. How are you liking the Vista motorhome? Do you think you’ll sell your BEAUTIFUL Navion? Hope not…it’s your home and has so many stories to tell! Take care, and as-always, Love Ya, Virginia
@NewstateNomads Жыл бұрын
Virginia, thanks so much! We appreciate all the kind words and it means a lot to us to hear it from you! We truly started documenting our travels for ourselves. It was to be able to relive moments from around the world. With our backgrounds, the KZbin channel came later because we realized that we could offer a unique experience to our audience and it has truly succeeded beyond our wildest dreams. Regarding the Navion and Vista: we have no plans of selling our Navion (it is our first home on wheels!) but are definitely enjoying the opportunity to try out a larger class A RV for the year! There are benefits to each, and I'm sure we'll have a video later this year that compares/contrasts between them. As always, thank you so much for your support and we're so glad you're along for the journey! ♥️

Such a beautiful park! Everything looks about the same as when we were there in 2016 except that Cleatus the Crocodile is gone! I thought maybe he died but the google says they relocated him. It was quite the sight to see a lone crocodile at the moat! Is Congaree next? Or maybe you are heading to Hot Springs?! Looking forward to whatever is next! I love that you are doing this as I have 18 parks left to visit. Quite a few of them are in the mid-southwest, so I can’t wait for your tips! THANK YOU!

Great video. The Mel Fischer story is well worth getting a book. I think it was his Son and Daughter in law who died on the wreck site. So are you going to do Isle Royale National Park? It is in the lower 48.

Dan, we are indeed visiting Isle Royale later this year! It's one of the 51 in the lower 48. Will look into the Mel Fischer story more now. We had never heard of it before our ferry ride out to Dry Tortugas! -Howard

Key West has the Mel Fischer museum to tour. Isle Royale has the best shipwreck diving in the world. Cold fresh water makes for almost zero deterioration. I have done many many dives on them. Going by boat or the 1939 seaplane?

We tried to go and I checked sometime when we were at the Rv show. The only day open during our 10 day stay in KW was the day we were leaving 😢. If anyone plans on going BOOK EARLY!! Edmund Spangler who got swept up in the Lincoln assassination and later worked for Dr Mudd, y’all can google that 😂. Place looks so awesome!!

This may seem like a silly question but...did you have a doggie day care situation? Looks like you had a wonderful time. Stay safe and good blessings.
@NewstateNomads Жыл бұрын
Not silly at all, Brenda! It's definitely stretching the max length we would ever leave the pups alone, and we rarely are away this long. We of course make sure to take them out immediately before we leave and are fed. Doggie Day Care would also be a great option, and there are those as well as Rover sitters in KW!

Hi looks great I hope to get there next year. So the trip there is 2 1/2 hours and back is 2 1/2 how much time are you on the island? Do you have time for the guided tour and to snorkel?
@NewstateNomads Жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin! Great questions! Correct, 2.5 up and 2.5 back. We have about 4 hours on the island. There's definitely enough time for both! If you do the full tour, you'll be done around 12:30 and don't need to be back on the boat until 2:30 (3:00 departure). They serve lunch from 11 to 1, so there still leaves time to grab that after the tour too. Hope that helps! 😄 Thanks so much for watching! -Katelyn
