In newton raphson method of loadflow, do the reactive power generation of the generator bus changes with load? If yes, then how. it could be incorporated in NR load flow as we donot use corresponding Q of that PV bus to calculate mismatch vector?

Hi Sir, would like to check 3 bus , 3 unknown states. what if you have one slack bus and 2 PQ bus instead? There are 4 unknown states?

nicely and clearly explained. i need to know how to put values in partial derivatives , the power factor and voltage angles as I'm not getting answer as given in Jacobian J1 and so on..plz explain.

Using the generalized function the equation for f(p3) and f(q2) calculated has some flaw. You have not done minus of p3 and q2 respectively.

Yes. Thanks for pointing out the mistake. Other's also commented about the same mistakes. Unfortunately, youtube has disabled the addtion of text boxes etc to hilighlight where the mistake was made. I can't redo / edit the video now. Anyways, in part 3 of the video, this mistake was corrected (while coding) and we got the right answer.

This is a good tutorial. If there is a branch bus in the middle of transmission line which is not connected to either generation or load, do we still need to generate the power flow (P and Q) equation for this branch bus?

@jblife1236 жыл бұрын
sir, please answer this... In a power system with 100 buses, 1 bus is taken as slack bus, 15 buses are PV buses and rest are PQ buses. The number of variables to be solved by Newton-Raphson method in polar coordinates is...
@siddhantsarraf6 жыл бұрын
The no. of variables to be solved using newton raphson method is = 183 1. 15∆ from the pv bus 2. 84 v + 84 ∆ from pq bus Total no. Of variables = 84+84+15=183.

why cant we use P2 equation for V2?
@pradeepyemula60157 жыл бұрын
Good Question. If 2 is a load bus, then both P2 and and Q2 will be known, and therefore you can use any combination (1) that is P2 equation for delta2 and Q2 equation for V2. or combination (2) that is P2 equation for V2 and Q2 equation for delta2. However, if 2 is a generator bus, P2 will be known and Q2 will be unknown, on the other hand |V2| will be known and delta2 will be unknown, that will leave only one combination, P2 equation for delta2. So, irrespective of load or gen bus, taking P_i equation for delta_i and taking Q_i equation for V_i always works, and it avoids confusion by being consistent.

I have same question and why we put it equal zeros
@Aurisca7 жыл бұрын
It's been a while since I've done a NR problem but I believe you set them equal to 0 for conservation of energy. The equation is stating that the summation of all the P's from i to n is equal to Pk (and similarly with all the Q's from i to n is equal to Qk). This means that the total P and Q in the system, minus the summation of each individual bus's P and Q, is equal to 0 - i.e. energy is conserved.

1) I am using Mac Book Air laptop which has, the software for video recording the screen - "quick time player" 2) the software for writing on the screen with black screen is "supreme paint lite" available on Apple app store 3) for calculations I am using Octave (which is free - open source alternative for matlab) 4) the hardware is "wacom one" pen tablet

Can't really understand is just explaining as memorize equation. You need to so iterative Taylor series vector calculus then Jacobian matrix. Your calculation is incomplete not accurate...
