It’s more impactful if her story reflects Kakin’s corruption and possibly leads to its downfall, rather than blaming it on a creature unrelated to them.

That would make her less relatable and less tragic. She would essentially be mind controlled to some degree. It just would not be good storytelling. Theory about Borksen and Tserriednich going forward: What if Borksen tells all the details about Morena's ability to Tserriednich and they both realize that there is a loophole using Tserriednich's own ability. They would have Borksen kill Tserriednich twice using Parallel future to negate the death, but since the death is real for Borksen until Tserriednich cancels his ability, Borksen will receive 50 levels each time, so she will complete Morena's ability almost instantly, turning herself into another Member 0, maybe even infecting Tserriednich himself. And that will lead to the fall of Morena and the Heil-Ly and the completion of Borksen's small goal.

The one issue is that the parallel future where Borksen gains level 100 may be temporary if we take for granted Tserriednich survives in the end, but that really depends on how far mutually exclusive causalities are allowed to persist, and there's still a lot we know for a fact Parallel Future would allow Borksen to accomplish in a 10 second interval.

Even on their best day, that might be too much for the Hunter Association to handle, nevermind a large chunk of their best being on the DC expedition right now. If we assume they got free and all either went off on their own or in small groups, It would still take the remaining hunters years if not decades to contain the problem and they would cause mass chaos in the time being. And that would be the best case scenario if they got let loose. I'm not saying I think that's going to happen or how they'll be used, I'm more just pointing out how crazy it is that something like this currently exists and is just not something anybody is talking about right now.

Theory about Morena's ability: the reason that Borksen was still able to choose Yes or No at the end instead of being forced to choose Yes is a restriction on Morena's ability. By still giving her opponent a choice after they cheated, she is able to limit their options since it would be too powerful for her to just force them to join without some other restriction. I really doubt that she is a dark continent calamity, or was infected by one. I think Togashi likes showing how humanity can accomplish pure evil, and Morena Prudo is a great example of showing someone who was affected by this evil, and turned her into a perversion of her past self into something evil herself. If she was infected by Hell Bell, then it kind of undermines the possibility of this terror being done by a human’s hate in their heart, and rather it’s “well they were transformed by a creature”. Also, just like he said they captured Hell Bell, and Prudo isn’t that old at least as far as we know. It would also be a great example of the danger of the dark continent in togashi’s eyes. To show this big bad Morena Prudo, only to arrive at the dark continent and completely change their perspective of danger, as it dwarfs anything similar to what the human heart can do. Anyways, it is a possibility that she was infected but I feel like the story is focused on what’s to come, not what we’ve been shown, as I think that the creatures from the dark continent were used to show how dangerous it is, and to give an answer to Alluka’s power.

I'm starting to think that Hellbell is less 'a' calamity and more 'THE' calamity. In the world of HxH and Nen what if all the other calamities were Hellbell-ified and the way they take out people was the best suited for their original abilities. For example, what if Zobae normally works with no drawbacks and is how Beyond can be fine even with it being likely he is afflicted, BUT the only other person we know with it ALSO ran into Hellbell and that resulted in what they became.

Five calamities to choose from! Nanika is Ai, which has been established. Beyond has Zobae because he was on the dark continent expedition that brought it back and is older than he looks and is obsessed with going back there. Gon is Pap because his arm was shriveled and that's what Togashi considers Gon's type of person to be. And now Morena is Hellbell because she wants to kill people and to spread that desire throughout the world. If I want to come up with some outlandish theory about who's a Dark Continent calamity, I'd better work fast because there's only one calamity left, Brion. So here goes. Pariston Hill is Brion. Why? Because he glistens! Some have speculated that Pariston is really Shiela because they look alike, along with a few other coincidences. Well, I wildly speculate that Shiela contracted Brion and died, and out popped Pariston, who will eventually infect a whole bunch of other people who will then die, popping out more glistening people. Well, that's stupid theory, but it's not disproven yet, is it?

My theory is that hellbell is either the king or one of the queens of the kakin empire 👀 Since the chart says we dont know how many there are or how often they reproduce, I think it would be cool if an entire nation was the calamity
