The thing with araki imo is he's capable of writing well written and emotionally gripping stories but he rather pick and choose whatever he likes, and often just wants to prioritize concepts & fights over story. He could play classical music but he rather plays improvished jazz. He also said before that he hates depressing stories lol, and part 7 is pretty melancholic..at least imo it is.

@niquito93604 жыл бұрын
@@xaviercopeland2789 That's a very reductionistic way to see it. Just because they're both music and use instruments doesn't mean they can be compared, you're literally making an association fallacy. They can't be compared because they are radically different in origin, they are different in how each one is composed, different in technique, they focus on different things, they have different overall sound, etc. I mean how can you compare Bach to Coltrane?
@xaviercopeland27894 жыл бұрын
Niquito you just can. I told you ways in that they are compared, and you could keep going from there. Just because they’re different doesn’t mean they can’t be compared. Just because they aren’t completely different doesn’t mean they aren’t comparable. This doesn’t make sense in the first place given I wasn’t comparing them in the first place and just said jazz is better from my personal opinion, and the fact that comparing jazz and classical to show the juxtaposition between the nature’s of both have been done since the dawn of their existence. We’ve all seen films like The Talented Mr. Ripley, or watched anime like Kids on the Slope, or have seen the comparison used because it just works. Saying you can’t compare jazz and classical is like saying you can’t compare apples and oranges. Very much able to compare them. You could compare all genres of music really. Country, pop, rock, and so on if you really want. They all derive from the same sources with using instruments or notes of any kind, are composed, written and released for people to listen to and find enjoyment from. Very easy to compare really. Each still use sheet music that use the same notes, but are just composed differently. They even have the same function in that they are used for the purpose of entertaining people with nice sounds.

Ok theory time!!! (I love part 7 fan theories so I'll give you my two faves): 1.Sandman and Soundman are two different people: The first chapter opens with sandman and we get to see him talk to his mates and sister, and they all call him sandman. So how can it be that during the fight against him he says that his name is soundman and that it's a common America mispronunciation? Not to mention the sudden introduction of his stand... That's right! Soundman is a parallel universe version of Sandman that Funny Valentine brought to fight for him. From the personally change to the complete lack of his original motive to win the race, we are expected to believe that the man in this battle chapter is Sandman, where in fact, it fits the story perfectly for him to be another character. 2.Gyro's stand isn't ball breaker: his stand is scan. Now "what is scan" you might wonder? Well, after the corp's eye with the word "turbo" on it binds with lovely Gyro, he suddenly gets the ability to do some detailed stuff that I'm not going to even try to explain, but basically he can now apply similar looking eyes to his steel balls and see through solid thing etc etc. Moreover, we actually get to see a different "green man" than ball breaker briefly during the fight with Hotpants, where Gyro used scan to see through his balls (wait, that's not what I meant and you know it!) when she blinds him with cream starter. And besides that, it is specifically mentioned that the steel balls are an entity of their own, and considering that they passed that stand...desert place (forgot it's name), we can only assume that ball breaker is the stand of the steel balls, and that it isn't Gyro's stand. Now let's see your theories!

I still really like that Sandman/Soundman theory. When this part gets animated, I hope they do something to maybe hint at that. Or Araki just comes out and says that’s what happened. The spin is an insanely cool and engaging power that was perfectly explored to its zenith by part's end and I love how Tusk as a stand became stronger coinciding with the milestones of johnny's development. There is also the interesting change up of stands not coming from an alien virus in a metal arrow but from pieces of the corpse of literally jesus christ himself. Also a shout out to lucy steel and hot pants for being some of the best written female characters in the series with some more very good one's to come in part . P.S. as needlessly confusing as it is ball breaker isn't really gyro's stand but a rather a manifestation of the peak of the golden spin taking the form of a stand, so it can theoretically be accessed by anybody who achieves mastery of the spin.

Kojima Is God If Diego had to be the final boss, I feel he should’ve fought against Valentine with Johnny, putting him in a position to both observe Tusk act 4 in action and use the corpse parts to get THE WORLD. Kojima Is God no au dio being the final antagonist was the best choice. While I do love the almost like stand pokemon battle style of the previous parts where the stand is like it's own entity that fights for you, I really enjoyed how this part almost completely flips that concept on its head and makes to it where now almost every single stand in the part is more of a tool rather than like an entity that fights for you. And the way they basically took the concept of hamon and replaced it with the spin and incorporated that into stand abilities was really cool. Super excited now to get into Jojolion.

Asshat Zeppeli the crazier part is how short the jojo anime is compared to other long manga adaptations. I really appreciate it. Like Jojos parts 1-5 is just a few episodes longer than the entirety of the Hunter x Hunter anime... Also, Jojos is more pages in total than one piece, nuff said

I’d say the glue that holds part 7 together is the race format, both for the SBR and the race for the corpse parts. I was constantly thinking oh boy how’s the gang going to keep themselves in the race(s), and such thoughts. I truly felt said thrill throughout the whole manga starting from the end of volume 1

Definitely do jojo on THIS channel. This is ALREADY your separate channel from your main One Piece focus -- even if Jojo ends up overtaking this channel I think that's OK. Ultimately both it and HxH are beloved, massive works but works that are increasingly rarely getting fresh content as they drag toward what may be the end of their journeys, so I think having that dual-focus should be perfect as the main cornerstones of this channel and they can prop each other up as much as a current, mega-active manga. Plus, you can introduce the endless waves of young Jojo fans to the masterpiece that is HxH and cheekily direct them from time to time to your other channel and One Piece. The 3 greatest shounens of all time unite!

I feel bad for always telling people that I think Steel Ball Run is like the best piece of fiction ever made. I don't like putting such high expectations on something. But i hit me personally in life at that moment when I read it and it's also just good.

Great review. For me the surprising highlight by far, though, was Lucy Steel. She's weak, she has zero stand power (except maybe one near the very end), she cries a lot and is clearly out of her depth in fights, yet ends up doing so much through sheer grit that a lot of others just don't see coming because they underestimate her. With so many one-note "Strong Female Characters" who are "powerful" but actually have little impact on the plot, Lucy Steel was a fantastic embodiment of female power that wasn't reliant on a crazy stand ability or incredible athletic prowess, but more on resourcefulness. She's a clearly disadvantaged character who in other stories would be the damsel in distress who just watches other Stand users do the work, but Araki makes her do a lot of heavy lifting because she cares about her husband. It was also a nice twist that she isn't just a cute trophy wife and is truly a ride-or-die for her husband.

SBR was my first manga experience of JoJo. I heard so many good things about it, so I think I was overhyped. But few weeks later I randomly think about it and it gets better in opinion, which is rare coz most things for me get worse over time. At first I put it behind Part 4 but now I'm setting them as equals.

10/10 Anyways, Araki was being limited by shonen jump during part 6, that is when Araki said, fuk it. Part 7 is in another magazine, he had more time and creative freedom while working on it.

Great video, like your jojo series If i could add opinion, id say make a playlist of jojo wiki on this channel Its still kinda fresh and, one crowd would go for one peace and one crowd would come here for various playlists you did From HxH to now Jojo, but if you can manage more channels and dont wanna micro manage videos, go for it, ill support it anyway ^_^

I just gotta say i kinda wished araki could have kept the general art style of part 7 as it was in the early chapters, like if you notice the art in the early chapters the style seemed to match that of early 80s manga/his 80s art style in shading and linework and i thought that was really clever since steel ball run is a retelling of his early parts mixed with his current style but still the art is great throughout it
