LT is the greatest NFL football player of all time. Period!

I'm soooo happy for all the legends and especially for Eli and Harry!!!! Two of the most underrated players ever and two pro football 🏈 Hall of famers!!! Congratulations 👏👏 to the entire 100th all-time team!!! Now let's give the coaches their love ❤️❤️

As a 60 year fan that was expecting the usual ridiculous list, I have to say, great job. Mel Hein was like the Babe Ruth of football back then, and Rosey Brown was 9 time all pro LT at 245 pounds. Giff was the ultimate Giant. And LT was the greatest defensive player in league history. So they got it right.

I feel blessed to have witnessed the careers of LT, Strahan, Eli and Carson. Recent years have been rough, but the Giants have had some incredible players in the last 40 years.

Eli came up big in the biggest games. He belongs in the HOF. LT was the greatest Giant I ever saw and I have been a Giant fan for almost 70 years.. But number 53, Harry Carson was my favorite player. Thanks for the memories.

Simms was always my favorite and Carson right behind him. The smartest player I’ve ever seen. I once read a stat somewhere that over the course of Carson’s career opponents averaged something like 3.5 yard per rushing attempt. It’s hard to appreciate his greatness if you didn’t see him play.

What an amazing top-10 of legends. The only change that I would personally make is to move Sam Huff up to 8, and then Eli down to 9 (just squeaking in ahead of the great Andy Robustelli).

I was fortunate enough to see lots of these players in action. I was a young fan in the 50's and went to my first game in '61 so I'm old!!! I thought Eli might be higher but honestly I have no problem with the top 5. Rosey Brown was a beast for sure and LT should be #1 as expected.

To all the comments about Eli Manning being too low in the rankings... He is the only one not in the Hall of Fame. Maybe one day. He was a very good QB to win two SBs, but others in this top ten had exceptional seasons. Led their league in stats and numerous pro bowl/best in position. I am a fan of Eli, but know some Giants history.

Man… The Crunch Bunch looked so much physically bigger than the D line altogether this season. Even Michael Strahan had a similar inverted pyramid body structure with a shorter torso, broader shoulders, slim hips and longer legs. Just as the most decorated Olympian Michael Phelps’ very long torso, shorter legs with a wingspan longer than his height, his large hands and feet gave him an advantage in swimming perhaps the NY Football Giants’ front office needs some scientists to analyze body structure of recruits. 😂

I couldn’t stand Eli for years. He was a turnover machine we wouldn’t make the playoffs every year. It took 07 for the fans to turn around on him now he’s our guy. The rest of the league feels other wise about him but in NY he’s the man

We can’t focus on just 2 years out of a 16 year career. I love Eli. I became a giants fan his second season so I watched EVERYTHING. Saw his whole career unfold. The back half of his career was awful. He can’t be in the top 5 because of that

Strahan is too low. The all-time and single season sack leader, holds the NFL season sack record, and was maybe a better run defender than pass rusher. I can understand Rosy and LT but to put a leather helmet guy above him is a bad joke.
@jgcramp502 ай бұрын
Seriously with calling Mel Hein "a leather helmet guy?" You clearly have no idea how great he was as a player. Arguing Strahan should be ahead of him is perfectly fair. But what's the purpose of making a comment like that about one of the greatest players in Giants history? FWIW, that "leather helmet guy" is the only OL to ever win an MVP award, and he played LB, too. He's right where he belongs on the list.
@GeroldGarthcia2 ай бұрын
You also have no idea how great he was because he played 90 years ago and there's basically no film of the NFL back then. Football was like the 5th most popular sport in the country at the time, and the best athletes were in baseball, boxing and track and field. I mean just look at pictures of him, he's built like an accountant not a professional athlete. Dude played offensive line and weighed 225 lbs, if he tried to block Strahan or LT he'd probably die.
@jgcramp502 ай бұрын
@@GeroldGarthcia Mel Hein won an MVP award as an offensive lineman. Nobody else has done that. He also played linebacker. He was a first team all-pro 8 times and was included in the NFL’s 75th and 100th anniversary all-time teams. We know exactly how great he was as a player, and discounting him because a century later players are more athletic is absurd. You can only evaluate a player in the context of when they played. Based on your argument Babe Ruth would be a hack because every pitcher throws 100+ now. And by your logic Tyrone Wheatley must have been a better running back than Frank Gifford since he was so much more athletic. You evaluate them based on the era they played, and in that context (and according to the NFL, who put him in the 100 best players of all-time list back in 2019) Mel Hein is one of the best players in NFL history.

Embarrassing that Eli is 8. He’s literally the antithesis of what a Giant should be. They put a pedo as their number one player in history. Of course, the giants mangled this list just like they mangled this franchise with gettleman. 1. Eli 2. LT 3. Tittle 4. Gifford 5. Strahan
