Damián Gallo Sure it doesn’t win neutral for you but damage is a factor. High damage opens up greater comeback potential and leaves greater room for error as you don’t have to open your opponent up as often to win.

he was REALLY slow upclose. Once you got in on him, ermac basically had to rely on D1 to get out of pressure. No armor, no invincibility. Very hard to keep ppl out of your face.

This video was a blast to watch. Very good summation of his abilities. I was an Ermac main on xbl back when this was new, gt was HURTLOCKBROS. I loved Ermacs depth of ability; he could chain so hard. He had a 1 bar 51% easy 13 hit if I remember right. 63% corner Xray combo, an amazing port, no bar combos all over the 35-40plus dmg range. Loved his air port and fireball fakeouts, the down down up levitation fakes/baits, the instant air fireball, wasn't as fast as Kabal but it was deadly up close. He was absolutely a monster all over the place. Actually made TYMs online warriors hall of fame as a top 10 ermac on xbl, was just shy of top 100 on the leaderboards but I had a heavily lopsided W/L ratio given the players with sometimes thousands more matches played. testyourmight.com/threads/best-players-each-character-xbox-live.14432/

REO_MK I think I know why your combos in this video, specifically ones where you were replaying the recorded moves and they were dropping the opponent and you didn't know why, were happening that way. It could also be just a game bug, but if not, here's my thought. When you recorded your combo strings earlier, were you using Sheeva as Ermac's "training partner"? Because she is much larger, and so has larger hit boxes, than everyone's favorite Edenian demigod / Prince tribute. So they would land successfully on her, but Rain's shorter stature and fewer limbs caused unintentional avoidance of what you were demonstrating.

Nah, REO is def right on this one. The straight movement options and insane mixup/conditioning potential MK9 Ermac had was insane. It made an otherwise bad character mid tier in a game full of brokenness.
