Kenshi was a nightmare matchup for most of the cast, his zoning, armor, and footsies were broken.. He's usually considered the second best character in the game because the nature of his matchups which were often 7-3s or worse

I still have nightmares of Kenshi as a Subzero/Scorpion main who played Quan Chi, Kratos, Raiden, Liu Kang, Reptile, Kabal, Cyber Subzero, Noob, and Jade. I literally had no answer for him and I felt invincible at one point with him.

All the sindels i ever played mainly spammed projectiles and did some 17% jab combos if they even got one off lol.. but yeah .. the float cancels are heavy on the fingers and i understand that many other characters where more wanted to pick. I mean.. you had a good amount of characters to choose from. I personaly liked Kung Lao, Shang Tsung, Ermac and Sektor the most.

It's such a shame how NRS design MK11 Sindel now. No default projectile, she only has projectile in a bad variation. The variation that has the flight is fucking useless: can't shoot projectile, can't do air normals, can't quick cancel fight. Wtf is that flight for? I think he had one of if not the best down 4 in the game but really trying to think I don't know of anything he had broken compared to other characters. He had no amazing thing that was easy to do or just required insane execution like kabal. Don't think he had great strings had no gimmick setups no cancels to pressure I really can't think of anything

@@modest1989 he basically was a worse Kung Lao on ability appearance alone. Even tho he was on the weaker side dont forget he had his full screen blade slide move and it had armor on enhance. He could catch you and chunk for solid damage.

@@casono no way that's a accurate comparison Kung lao had amazing mobility and tools. He had no way of getting in then no way to really mix you up. I agree he could do damage but in mk9 every character could do 40% I believe without much effort but Baraka I can not think of one thing that made him stand out in any way. The blade charge was good but compared to a list of other moves characters had along with their tools and of course brokenness he had nothing. Think about characters that are considered low teir then compared their tools to baracka he was on super disability almost life support when I think about him hah

his main thing was his restand. His f4 would restand airboune opponents. So he would do his combo which would launch, then end it with f4. It wasn't that good, but the only other characters who had this were Kabul and Stryker I think. His blade charge was a safe, mid special that traveled about quarter screen, and the ex version would go half screen and was also safe. Other than that, he was slow, and weird to play.

So, what I gathered is that Baraka was the most broken MK character ever! Not because he had overlly abusable cheap stuff, but because he just did not work properly with the game's mechanics and meta.

Honestly this game required so much execution to make these "broke mechanics " work. you could win with anyone you took time in. Everyone had an answer to an extent. Except sheeva. In MK9 i had this 2 different lui kang players that give me a fighting style i still use. 1 the first one was cheap as hell and literally spam down pokes the entire match like. Im serious thats all he did and beat me everytime. Thats the day i learn the value of down pokes 2. The second one literally didnt combo at all. it was uniqe. He would down poke. Jab over head. He was just going normals and mixing it up . the mind games were crazy with no combo. Poke overhead. Down poke sta8 punch. Just imagine alll these keep coming at You in different patterns. i use that strategy till this day. It just works
