Why do artists just start making the music they enjoy from the decade they enjoy even if they outlandishly wear the same type of clothes with almost no deviation or none of their own spin on the genre, but if you like the 80s dress like you're from the 80s and make good music if you like the 60s just like you're from the 60s and make good music there's no reason to say this is modern times now we have to act like modern people and parody songs that we thought were silly instead of making a serious work of art it can be silly but it should still be a work of art maybe this guy didn't want to be a popstar at first but he can do it now if he wants to he's popular enough.

It's interesting how he was pulling the interviewer's leg. When she asked him for his favorite line (around 2:08), and he answered with "There is nothing to be sad," it was clear that this meaningless line was a parody of silly lyrics in stilted English. Then he goes on to say that this line has a timeless message that might have come to him in a dream. He's putting her on, of course, but she didn't seem to notice! She took him seriously! Unless she was just pretending to, but why would she do that?
