Great video and great info! My hubby has a very bad back so we went with Stage 4 Elka shocks. That was a game changer! He can now do longer rides with more enjoyment!

I’ve been battling something similar with the back. Like you ended up in the ER IN January. Not fun. I hope you are doing better. I still haven’t hit a trail in quite some time. Good to see you back on KZbin.

Out of curiosity, I looked for shock / springs options for the Maverick Trail. I was really surprised of the *lack* of options. I only saw Elka offering complete shocks, just the Stage 1 version. Elka does seem to be the ticket for ride improvement, from what I've read all over the web. It's amazing no company has springs only upgrades. I bought Bandit heavy rate springs to install on the stock shocks of my CFMoto Zforce 800 Trail.

Thanks for sharing. I was beginning to wonder what happened, actually a little worried. I too have a "bad back", I have a spinal fusion, that resulted from a fall back in '93, L4-5 & S1 are fused so I need to take it easy when I ride as well. Where is that trail that you were on? I'm in San Tan Valley. Welcome back!

The trail is in the Florence Junction area. I just hope I can continue to keep riding. Worst fear is I won't be able to.
