I have no problem with Chidimma competing in the Miss SA pageant if she is an SA citizen however i am sick and tired of this argument that they helped us during apartheid - first of all our exiles were confined in concentration camps in Angola, Zambia Tanzania. They were not fighting for jobs with citizens of those countries or enjoying the govt benefits of those countries. Secondly how many of them were in those countries compared to many of them we have in SA. I don't hate foreign nationals in SA however they should come to SA legally and those who broke the law by coming illegally should be sent back and re-enter SA with proper documents.

It would not be the SA citizens fault if her parents never set her down and cleared this point with her. Because apparently the father is not on the same understanding of the situation with her. Parents need to have these conversations with their kids when a foreign parent is involved, it's a responsible thing to do as parents to avoid such events later in life. Nigeria did nothing for us during apartheid. And no, we're not forgetting how Tanzania, Zambia, Angola, Ghana and other countries helped us during apartheid. That is why the citizens of these countries respect South Africa. Nigeria only got close to South Africa after '94 nothing about the pain South Africans endured during those times. And again that has nothing to do with the argument at hand. We're saying - we know how Mozambique helped us during the apartheid, but Tshidimba must compete for pageants there instead of here.
