Restaurant employees try to escape during Menlyn raid

Employees have tried to escape from Mugg & Bean after Gauteng officials arrived to inspect the restaurant.
Principal Inspector, Ouma Mahlangu suspects that employees tried to escape because they do not have the proper work permits and have a fear of talking about the conditions at the restaurant.

The owners/managers need to adhere to the labour laws and face huge fines if they don’t. If this forces them to close, well so be it. Another restaurant will open in its place.
