Losing a loved one isn’t easy, no matter if it’s a relative, a friend, even a furry friend being pulled away from your grasp is never an easy thing to see. As someone who lost one dog in 2015, and her daughter in 2022, I can definitely say I feel you. It hurts. And then you realize that a life where you had never met them would've have hurt soo much more. We carry on with their warmth in our hearts. Never really gone. My condolences. ❤❤❤❤

Losing a part of yourself is so true. When we had to let our 8 year old service dog go due to muscle paralysis it gutted our family. Seeing him hobble just to barely be able to lap up any water hurt so much. For weeks after he was gone I kept thinking to myself that he’d come running down the stairs from his bed to come sniff our legs because that’s what he was trained to do. He had saved my mother from entering a coma a year prior. You really can’t know what you have until it’s gone and sometimes our friends leave us in unthinkable ways while leaving a spot behind in us for them to return.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is one of the most painful things anybody can go through. Dogs are so pure and sweet and never deserve to go through illness. I have gone through losses myself with dogs, and although the pain may never fully go away, we must be happy that we were able to spend so many good times with our companions, and remember that they are no longer going through pain, and that they are now in paradise. This one had me choked up. We just lost my childhood dog Freddy a couple weeks ago. We took him in off the street when I was in first grade and had him for 16 years. Before I joined the Navy in 2020 he was still acting young, running around, playing with our other dogs, getting into trash, and even bringing dead gophers to my moms bed haha. But being gone for extended periods of time he aged faster and faster for me. I went home to visit before deployment in July of ‘22 and he was slowing down a lot, starting to go blind, and needed to be picked up to get on the couch/bed. When I had gone home in May prior to this it wasn’t the case and I realized our time with Freddy was starting to come to an end. I went on deployment for 8 months starting in August and my mom continued to send me pictures of him and keep me updated on his health. He was doing good for the most part, aside from running into walls and furniture around the house. When I came home in April when we returned to homeport I was expecting him to be worse and since he couldn’t see I didn’t expect him to really understand that I was home. To everyone’s surprise, as soon as I walked through the door he came to me and started jumping up my leg. He recognized me and at the time I didn’t realize how important this was but as I’m writing this I’m beginning to cry. He passed away in his sleep on May 16th while I was at sea. I will miss you dearly Freddy, your soft floppy ears, your annoying high pitched bark, and even when you use to take all the trash you could get and take it under my bed. I’m sorry for your loss Nexpo. Losing a pet is like losing a family member and is the hardest part of having one. I dread the day we lose our other pets. I wish I could spend every day with them and I hope I give them the best life they could ever have

He's bringing me to tears as well, I've had many pets, sort of, as a child, but living in the countryside they were all living outside so I barely ever saw them when they came to eat, and never really bonded a lot. You never forget them and the hurt that their absence causes, but eventually you'll start to look back on memories with a smile of fondness instead of sadness, and start to feel whole again. as someone who’s lost their dog recently, I’m glad that you appreciated every little part of him. losing someone that you’ve held so close for years can only be so devastatingly difficult. I’m sorry. Losing your dog is a pain I wouldn’t wish on anyone. It’s losing a friendship only dogs could ever make with humans. do take your time as not even I’ve fully healed yet. you have a loyal, mature, open-minded, and patient fan base hoping the best for your recovery

I lost my dog in mid September last year, and the day when i got the news was so horrible, even though I got the news at about 5pm. I remember doing my math homework one moment and crying the next. I hope that anybody who loses a dog, knows that they will still have great memories, even if they can't make new ones. thanks for reading my reply if you did.

My family bred three generations of boxers, cancer in the female line made us stop on the third generation. I love boxers, smart, charasmatic and full of energy. Belated though it is I am truly sorry for your loss. Your videos are an inspiration to me and I am trying to learn as much as I can from them. God bless

I remember losing my cat 3 years ago and it was the first pet to me that really mattered. The weirdest thing to me was the house feeling so empty. I didn't realize how big of a presence animals have in our houses but boy do I appreciate the love they give us and allow us to give out. Rest in peace Tyson

I had to put my cat down in January 2020 and it was the same, It was my first pet as an adult and I got him just a few weeks after he was born, he was very special to me. They always talk about cats not loving us, but he would always greet me as soon as i walked in and would cry outside my room when i wasnt home. I still miss him today and became a petsitter because I didn't want to go through losing a pet again, but still missed having a cat and being around animals. I got my first clients around a year after he started to get sick and they were cats too and he's always been the cover photo on my petsitting profile. His voice is what I love about him. And, when he was talking, you could hear every crack. We lost a boxer to cancer, and we only had him 5 months. He was 6, a rescue, and deaf. We only had a very short time with him, but I know it was the best of his life. He never left my side, and his stubby tail was always wagging. He gave the wettest kisses, but cuddled like a pillow. When I heard his voice crack, I know that pain, and there's nothing like it. We bring them into our lives, knowing one day, we may have to make the hardest choice ever. But, the love is worth it 💔💔💔🐾🐾🐾

Im sorry for the loss of your dad and i understand the weird way of dealing with the death of a loved and having to cope with the strange way autism makes you deal with it. I have it myself though very minor. Its a painful feeling and for me it feels like it never washes away but its good to remember that you have freinds and family that will understand and help you.
