Question: do you know the difference between KO products and the Bare Knuckle ones? I’ve never been there and the website doesn’t help much.
@bababourbon43666 ай бұрын
David, what I appreciate is you tell how much you pay for a bottle. You’re not ashamed and it is extremely helpful information. Looks like you picked up some good ones out there. Thanks for sharing all of the information with us. No one else does that.

Love the Holiday and the Wyoming Outryder (Bourye) Driftless Glen out of Wisconsin… Wilderness Trail and Redwood Empire probably don’t fit the theme but they are both very good! Wish I could get Hard Truth in my area…

That's a great list! That Rebecca Creek is surprisingly good.I've had all but the Wyoming... The Holladay SRW Rickhouse or better yet barrel picks are my favorite bottles right now. I'll also add JT Meleck to that list... I have 4 different SiB and love them all. And Glenns Creek OCD#5 and the Cafe Ole...I bought additional bottles of each just last week

Another vote for looking into Westward. I'm new to the Whiskey/Bourbon journey and Westward is awesome, great flavorful options for all levels of experience.

I would put Westward Distillery out there. I tried their Cask Strength Single Malt, WOW.

YOU NEED TO LOOK AT "Skunk Brothers Spirits" in Stevenson Washington. They make all their own products and were traditional Moonshiners. Their "Whiskey Road Burbon and Smoke Jumpers Burbon's" are Fantastic for a small distillery. They also have a White Whiskey, Apple Pie Brandy, Cinnamon Whiskey, and many Cordial's that are AMAZING! If you don't know about them you really should check them out.

I like that you are reviewing the DPs. I appreciate the effort they put into putting out their own products. I don't mind NDPs, but I've been deep into this for long enough that I dont need another NAS $75 shuck and jive with a special story. (no offense to the NDPs who shuck and jive with a special story) Diggin Middle West products. Cheers!

Picked up a backup of OCD#5, A OCD#5 finished in honey barrels and a SWHEAT from Glenns Creek Distillery last week. I really like Rebecca Creek Double Barrel Spanish Oak. Hear that when current inventory is depleted, we will not be able to get new bottles for 6 years. Will be nursing the bottle I have left. 🥃

Good list. A good bit of the distilleries, that opened up at the start of the bourbon boom, are now releasing their stuff. Most are 4-6 years old and pricy but they are also very different from the big guys.

I believe some of the older Rebecca's Creek offerings (i.e., RC 16) are sourced from MGP. Can't recall if some of their younger offerings, including the Double Barrel, are sourced as well or if it is their distillate but have heard good things about both the RC 16 and DB.

My problem is availability out West, only Ben Holladay of these can I get. I tried the Bottled in Bond($60), while it's good, I just like a LOT of bottles in the $40-60 range better. 1910, 1920, Bardstown BiB, Micther's US 1, Nelson Bros Reserve, New Riff SB, Baker's 7, Eagle Rare($39 BTW). I would love to try the Ben H. Rickhouse but it's $75 out here, and the most I've ever paid for a bottle is $70...yet. 😢🙄 bourbon prices

@@ForgotMyDemonName Yes, but then I get state taxed and shipping depending how much they charge, I'll look into it though, thanks.

The BH soft red wheat is good. I am in WA, I hate our taxes here. I order a lot of my whiskey online and just search for discount codes, free shipping discounts, etc. Cheers

Excellent pours. Just got to say, don’t sleep on American single malts. As much as I love bourbon, Balcones Cataleja is the best I have on my shelf.

that middle west spirits sherry cask is sensational. A store local to me got a cask strength barrel pick at 116 proof. They sell them for $80 and its one of my favorite bottles

Rebecca Creek Double Oaked is distilled by MGP, but aged in San Antonio in New Spanish Oak for 4 years, then 2 years in first used Bourbon Barrels.

That middle West is delicious. I do agree on the price though. Wasn't that mad since it tastes so good but should probably be 60-70. At that price I would probably be on bottle 2 or 3

Well i think you chose Rebecca Creek bourbon just so you could use the word 'violative'. Seriously, how many times do you get to use that word? lol . Pulling your leg of course. I was thinking you were going to add Glenn's Creek Distilling for their awesome lineup
