Putting aside the fact that Mongols aren't Chinese nor are they involved in anyway other than the fact that China was conquered by the Mongols. This stereotype has been used to paint anyone who looks remotely East Asian, Southeast Asian or Pacific Islander as barbaric or heartless. While this practice is only practiced in minorities in certain communities, majority of these countries don't even partake in consuming dog meat. It's a harmful joke. So, no. It's not funny.

While I am against the practice and it's true that other asian countries dont partake in the Chinese festival of that scale, it is still not uncommon here esp Southeast to cook dogs in their homes here and there esp in the rural regions. So I still think that sterotype joke is valid(even if he didnt get the race right lol whatever)and we only have ourselves to blame for it. And besides, I draw the line between an ignorant verbal joke about a video game and an actual physical attack irl.
