This is so beautiful! Had no idea about the declining ski population either. Thanks for the episode and the insight!

Skiing is expensive, we are lucky to be able to afford it or have the mind set to make ourselves work enough to be able to ski. A lot of people around the world don’t ski because it’s expensive and other more digital games and experiences are taking over.
@ianyapxw6 жыл бұрын
That's so true. You could easily build a good gaming PC for less than the cost of all your skiing equipment, and buy games for $20-40 (especially on sale) and each game can give you days of entertainment. To each their own, I guess.

I don't agree. Every exiting sport is expensive. I am officially retired, however, I want to continue to do my two main hobbies (skydiving and free skiing). Sooooooo, I have to go and work again. Don't expect owners and people who are daily working on your ski resort or tuning your ski to work for freeeeeeeeee!!!
@carsonfromstatefarm42483 жыл бұрын
It's so unfortunate that not many people have the funds to go and experience such an amazing sport and are refined to sitting inside wasting their lives away playing games that don't benefit their wellbeing in any way. I wish more people had the opportunities to be able to go outside and live a little.

Australian cultural outpost owned by Hong Kong billionaire's son? I liked it better a decade ago before the gentrification, when you could get half a King Crab in your ramen for less than fries now. It was truer to Japanese culture, the spirit of skiing and less about being the Aspen or the St. Moritz of Asia. All about the yuki and onsen. What this video is all about.

I think this series is going to be another miss for me from Red Bull. I think the pressure to create a higher volume of content is having an impact on the quality of said content, and a channel with almost 8 million subs having only 16k views after 5 days would support that statement.

Really want to enjoy this series but each episode has a bummer of a narrative. Ep 2 seemed a little hypocritical, this ep seems oblivious to shifts in living costs and the reduction of free time / money / energy people have. The resorts are quiet cos the rest of us aren’t paid to ski 😅 Japan looks sick though 🤙
