Not so much the creations but my favourite is the one that grabs the wheel and stops the car in front of the police vehicle. I love that the creator Leonard Stock invented the grappler the same night he was affected by the death of a stranger... That's both amazing and moving too ❤️

i cant be the only one seeing that car grappler and remembering the build team from mythbusters trying to solve that exact problem. Their best idea was essentially a trunk harpoon. This guys net grapple is definitely a better idea but along the same wavelength.

The Smart Slide for pistols needs to Intergrate something so that only a permitted person can use it. Like an RF ID ring or bracelet a person has to wear for the gun to function.

Yes, if it can do what it does, we can make them safer. We need guns with codes to operate or a password or a special ring.

The only problems with that is if you lose the RFID chip in whatever form it’s placed in, the gun is now useless. Plus it’ll add an extra 1k onto the price. And with some police departments using Sig pistols costing over a grand each already…no municipality would ok that much spending on a single asset.

I agree with both statements. You 30 years ago our schools didn't need armed guards and while I'm about as pro gun as one can be, I also think if something to make them "safer" is implemented soon, we won't have them much longer.

For the giant wall vehicle, it looks more like what the military should use as it seems more like a siege defense. Imagine the military weaponizing this to suit more of their tastes. But I actually see it as a great tool, and actually really handy for it. Officers actually struggle against the crowd, which I won't be surprised if officers actually got injured a lot, so it is a great response as people who riot are causing destruction. It not only save their lives, but also ensure that they can do their jobs easier.

Digidog: How about add 4 more legs, randomly moving? That might be MORE scary! Note on Kevlar ballistic vests: They are NOT KNIFEPROOF! I also saw a case write-up in which the officer was KILLED by his vest: A very close shot from a .45-70 carried the adjacent part of the vest into the chest. Robot: I was playing with our agency robot during a break in training and ran it down behind a female officer, then reached up and took her hand---gently. It was charming. You could give it a personality.

One time at a museum there was this big tube with small holes and a big earth ball in it. When I was little my mom took me to the museum and the ball was being fixed so there was just a tube there. My mom turned around for like 10 seconds and I figured out how to get inside the tube. Employees lifted me out the top of the tube which goes into the ceiling. My mom still doesn’t know how I got in there.

I must say though, can anyone else see how a lot of these new police tech gadgets will eventually get in the wrong police officers/force's hands and become either annoying or flat out dangerous(lookin straight at you crowd control bot) For example, that sneaky lil snake guy could be used to check our speed, while the actual police officer is down the road. Even if you see them and slow down- snake already told them you were speeding. UGH. Yay for the future!

I wonder what the max caliber rating is on the shield. You see them fire what looks like a .38 Special but those are starting to become a rarity in the gun world because it’s so easy to get 9mm with more energy and higher capacity. It would have to be able to take a hit from at least .44 magnum for me to feel confident in it.

13:45 - I worked for a safety equipment distributor which sold the Recon Scout "throw-bot". At the time, the company even developed a "shotgun hopper" so the robot could be fired (with a shotgun) through windows or over walls. I used to chase my cat around with my salesman sample. That thing is INCREDIBLE.... oh, and they were $13,000... and that was in 2009 dollars. In my humble opinion, the thing needed to be just a little bigger and the tail needed to be longer/heavier.... it liked to flip over constantly (which you can even see in the video!)... but aside from those minor problems, the thing was really strong, I used to impress police departments during sales calls by whipping the thing down the steps and then driving around to spy on other cops in the building and showing the Chief/Captain (who were right beside me) how quiet the thing was. It was whisper quiet but super rugged. I'm glad they are still making those, super cool little piece of tech,.
