I've experienced a go-around once. It was quite the adventure! There was still another plane on the landing strip when our plane wanted to land. So, it was a sharp turn left while we were almost on the ground, and then like a rocket up into the sky again. I wasn't afraid. To be honest, I was quite excited to experience a go-around. 😅 Hopefully, you get "lucky," and one day, you can experience it yourself! Have a wonderful weekend! Saying hi from the Netherlands. 🤗 🇳🇱

I always feel comfortable about a pilot who chooses to go around. It shows they're concerned about safety and don't want to risk it when something's not right. :)

!! Ice-cream doesn't count as a meal? Yes! Time for some banana ice-cream! !! A go around is generally not a good thing: I'd need Valium for when I finally get to Japan, enough to knock a horse out on the flight over and the flight home. I follow too many flight channels 😂 Did you witness St. Elmo's Fire? Whew, I was holding my breath, but that looked like a beautiful landing. Haha, believe it or not, I flew a Cessna many times in 1975 and I wanted to get my Pilot's licence. My Father had an employee who had his own plane and since most of their work was in the US, it was convenient for them to fly. I used to wash the plane and my reward was flying over Niagara Falls and over our house. 🇨🇦

Must have been a really big weather front! But if they divert and it would only be a few hours for the weather to clear they would usually just refuel the same plane there then do the hop back to Haneda since the plane would need to be there anyway. It gets much trickier for them if they can’t put the plane back to where it was supposed to be (even if it is later).

I very surprised you were in the USA! Usually you are in Japan making videos on ferry Etc. You must have experience USD. If you go to quick shops you can use cash or credit cards. Now in days you can just tap your credit card on the credit card reader and you will hear a beep or a buzz to let you know that your transaction went through.
