Hello Coch ! I'm a US Navy black shoe veteran ( Operations Specialist 2nd Class ) . I believe that it's a good idea to always carry a cigarette lighter even if you don't smoke . BIC lighters are cheap and lightweight . I carry a Zippo in my pocket and have several BICs stashed around everywhere . I've lit my Zippo and used it as a small torch for lighting and to burn the end of cut Paracord closed . I keep a six foot length of Paracord around too as it is cheap , lightweight , and have a myriad of uses . A red or blue cotton bandana is nice to have folded in a pocket as a multitask piece of gear . A cheap lighter , a bandanna, and cheap Chinese Paracord knockoff can be bought for a few bucks at the dollar store .

Yes CCW SAFE rocks!!!!!! I left uscca 3 years ago for them. I started doing research and found out with uscca if you are found guilty they require you to pay them back all the money they spent on your defense costs. Then they will not pay for your appeal and if you appeal and win a 2nd trial they don't pay for that either. CCW SAFE pays all of that and never requires you to pay them back no matter what the outcome is.

Coch, where is your tactical bread? I don't recognise you at the beginning of video. Thought that some 25-year young take your place

Part of my EDC that I don’t really see anyone else carrying is the Leatherman Raptor. Foldable trauma shears with a seatbelt cutter. Super handy to have with you.

I would recommend you take your family somewhere safer so you don't have to carry 12 pounds of extra gear.

It’s crazy how a person could be committing mass murder and you shoot them dead or stop them their family will try and sue you.

Go with attorneys on retainer and get away from US CCA, they are an insurance company, and everyone knows the insurance company is always trying to find a way not to pay the claim. Attorneys on retainer emergency hotline, actual attorneys that will fight for you and you do not have to pay them if you lose the case.

The o-light hate thing is always funny to me. I have a few that work no matter what: dropped, stomped, etc. Fairly priced and they work. 🤷🏻‍♂️

When I took a first aid course 40 years ago we were taught to write the time and the T on the forehead with blood. Not saying not to carry a pen, but a workable alternative.

Great advice about being insured. One of the best moves i made over the years training etc. Also the nugget about knowing what ammo the local LEOs are using is brilliant. Hadnt considered that angle of the pie. Thanks Coch! 🇺🇸✝️🙏🧡

Good EDC stuff to know, thanks for keeping it simple. I just started wearing a light because someone told me their LE friend helped rescue people during earthquake in Oakland, CA in the 1990's. He said his flashlight was invaluable. I never thought about it until my friend told me. A light is also good for tactical reasons as well, shine 1000 lumens in their eyes and they will be occupied for a minute.
