thanks for the info, in fact you're the only one to actually state to leave the TV on standard and adjust the contrast and the brightness based upon your settings. too many other people said tweak the movie mode or filmmaker mode for the best optimal settings which I have done and just it looks like crap compared to standard

There are still people in this world that use a TV provider and there the channels still have numbers and the colored buttons give meaning when you use text tv, so your might need to widen your horizon. ;-)

Does the display last long term is what I wonder. I'm on my second Samsung 4K and the back lighting defuser is hosed up. Two TVs in 6 years with the same issue. What you see is soup can size circles starting to appear first noticable when the screen is more of a solid color.

Vid is spot on. Thanks for the info and definitely agree that Samsung did not make any effort on updating, the remote control at all. “Very Cumbersome/ small buttons , remote in general, and non useable buttons.

Damn it, I was set on this tv but they didn’t include analog audio output. I suppose it’s possible to get a optical to RCA adaptor for like $20, not sure how that’ll work out though. I’ve been Vizio for the past 12 years but they’ve been slacking and currently do not have 85” available.

I totally agree about how the stock remote on this TV is poorly laid out where all the buttons are crowded in the same area. Fortunately you can easily swap out the remote with this TV with a more modern and sleeker one that are found on more higher end Samsung TV models( ie the Samsung frame).

I love my Samsung tv best picture quality but I hate the controller I always click on the wrong button kicking me out the app while I was just trying to put the volume up or down

I disagree... I like the remote... Those numbers come in handy when using the Samsung TV channel guide... You can immediately go to a certain channel without having to navigate up and down a list of like 1500 channels.... Also I've tried the new remote style from Samsung on a TV that I just recently got my girlfriend.. and it's sooooo basic and simple... that you have to put in more labor to get to certain things rather than just having a quick launch button like on the model in this video.. More buttons is BETTER if they do more things quickly and in a simple fashion... Navigating software is taxing and labor some in times when you're tired and just want to get somewhere fast and easy... Maybe I'm just getting old but easy and simple goes a long way with me on devices...

Whats wrong with technology these days.. thats looks like a 75 inch..not a 85, ND the 75 inch tvs look like 65 inch... funny I have a 85 inch Vizio amd it wouos put your samsung 85 to shame . Mine was very tall amd very wide...
