With Reinbacher in, maybe Beck in, add a top 6 winger and play some suffocating hockey in D zone, yea they can definitely make playoffs. They have good goaltending and strong physical D. Another thing they need to do is get Matheson off the first PP so they limit SH goals against as well as holding pucka in on the Blueline because Matheson is really bad under pressure on Blueline. I'm hoping they at least move Guhle there, he's way safer when handling the puck.

Would be absolutely awesome to see Xhekaj and Mailloux together, especially if they played like they did in Laval. No to Matheson. He needs to go. If Ylonen EVER got enough ice time, he'd be fine, but we know how that works. As far as playoff potential...Ummmm....I don't think so. 😁

I feel like a month later, this conversation warrants a repeat. Production-wise, both Slafkovsky and Matheson are up. Matheson got 60points. If Slaf doesn’t mess up the next 3 games, he will for sure get 50. It would be great to focus on who should be the top 6 winger and how to keep Dach protected 🙂

the playoffs wouldnt be in the best interest for the habs . for the rebuild to make the playoffs next season . but i would like them to try . it would help with the progression of the team . imo the team is quite shallow top 6 . so an actual push wouldnt be in the cards . thats with projecting mailloux making the team out of camp . and /or reinbacker plays less than 10 games in laval . and gorton/hughes finding a actual top 6 nhl player . in exchange for a pick and a prospect like beck or hudson . for something like zegras and gudas . imo gohabsgo
