Nextbase IQ Rear vs VIOFO VS1 Mini Dashcam Comparison

I've been running the Nextbase IQ 4K dashcam system for a bit now, and I really don't like it. I decided to replace the rear camera from the Nextbase system with a standalone VIOFO VS1 Mini. They have the same resolution (1440P/2K) but the VIOFO has the latest Starvis 2 sensor and HDR capability. Before fully removing the Nextbase camera, I thought I would make a quick comparison video. I decided a night video would be the most useful since most cameras of decent quality tend to hold up okay in bright daylight,

Thanks for sharing. I have a Viofo in my Golf R and Red Tiger in my GTI. They’re both single channel cameras. Been thinking about getting 2 channel cameras, so this info is useful. Thanks again.

2ch is the way. I run a VIOFO A129 Duo in my GTI. Already has saved me from last year after getting hit but an unlicensed/uninsured driver. I may upgrade to the Blackvue DR970x though.

I’ve been running a 2ch BlackVue in the R for four years. I always run at least a front/rear. For this car I’m going 3ch. Unfortunately they don’t make a 3ch with the resolution and features I want. I thought the Nextbase IQ was going to do the job, but not so much. So it will be a BlackVue 2ch Front/Cabin + this VIOFO rear. Slight inconvenience to not have them all the same system, but in the end not horrible. I will also have always on LTE and an external battery to power it all (like in the R).
