Awesome video Dan!!! This was SUPERRRR HELPFUL! I've been contemplating all season how to proceed forward with fitting out my sled and this video dropped a ton of knowledge bombs! Gonna just do the essential mods to prepare for next season: lightweight rotating assemblies, maybe a big bore kit and possibly look at upgrading shocks. If I was a guide or had the ability to ride every day then I'd probably go turbo and full lightweight disease but for my situation and riding east coast, I think I got a good plan for next season! Sad that this winter was kinda weak on this coast but just means that next year will be better! Shred on Dan & Team Nxt Lvl, keep the content COMING!!!

Will polaris ever make a 4 stroke. I would like to see it. I've been a Polaris guy since I started snowmobiling in 09 with my 04 pro-xr with a 600 liberty swap into it. After a few sleds this year I wanted to go with a 4 stroke for the hp. I got a Yamaha with a bunch of mods that I could write a short story on but I want to have the longevity of a 4stroke and see other companies force each other to one up the weight reduction and hp gains from their models.
@lucasaubin16614 жыл бұрын
I don't think it will happen, what the market wants is what manufacturers do, and what the large majority of the market wants is a lightweight nimble sled and that's just not what a 4 stroke does

@bodinsemrau17104 жыл бұрын
Conman0320 Speedwerx makes supercharger kits for Polaris and Arctic. I prefer a turbo because I can fluctuate the HP as the turbo isnt caught up with the engine. A supercharger gives you no lag and 200+ HP with a tap of the throttle. Its a little too much, just my opinion though.
@X5XST4RK1L3R3 жыл бұрын
Progressive power is better for most people/conditons superchargers are more snappy and turbos dont have another belt to blow. Plus superchargers generally cap on power journal bearing turbos just keep spinning as fast as the exhaust will push em. Turbos are arguably more reliable than supers too.

I love RMK's, extremely fun sleds and very easy to throw around, but someone has to admit they're not the most reliable machines. The highest mileage RMK I've seen that's never been rebuilt had 4500km on it. That's not a lot of mileage for the average rider lol. Maybe you guys just got lucky with yours and they lasted longer, but I've never seen a reliable RMK. And a turbo is gonna cut that reliability down too. Those sleds are so much fun but I couldn't justify one because of how often it would need new top end parts lol

A new 850 rmk is about 14-15k out of the box…and if I had to guess with all the after market parts I’d guess each one of those sleds are anywhere from 30-35k maybe even more…and that’s without labor. Also this is their job and are sponsored by all of the brands they used to build these sleds so they probably get them for next to nothing. Did like how he wasn’t trying to sell the products but just explained what everything could do and the differences between them which I really appreciated.

@@jonathanabreu7601 yea, my bad... I just can't get over how cheap sleds are in america... 14-15k for a 850 rmk, while here in norway it's just about 22k, for a standard 850 rmk... and if you wanna count in all the aftermarkets mods, you can probably take the price and raise it with maybe 25% or something around that
