Todays matchup in Detroit as the Red Wings hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning saw Lucas Raymond send Michael Eyssimont flying over the Detroit boards. I had to watch this more than once as it was too perfect. Up and over with skates in the air it was a thing of beauty and afterwards as Essysimont collected himself he got an ear full from the Red Wings and god I love hockey
What’s crazy, is that maybe an hour later over in Montreal during the Blackhawks Canadiens game, it was Kirby Dach who took a trip over the benches. I talk about it all and more in todays NHL hockey video!

This game was fantastic between the new goal horn, the song, and all the energy. It was even better to get to see it in person!

love the new horn, too, but the song actually doesn't fit into hockey - the one they used before wasn't that good either, but better than the new one. hockey needs rock-music!, rap and 'stuff like that belongs to football or basketball. saying this as a Red Wings fan.

@@Z0RDR4CK I wanted to hear the song last year in person, but saying a song doesn't fit in hockey is silly. It has the Chelsea Dagger vibe. Fun for fans, annoying as fuck for the other team.

@@Z0RDR4CK They could just take the easy way out and go detroit rock city by kiss but i'm assuming every detroit team has tried getting the rights to it and had issues because why wouldn't they want it? Plus, eminem is a detroit guy, don't get me wrong the goal song makes me cringe, I get using eminem but cmon they can do better lol. go wings

I’ve always enjoyed hockey, it’s about the only sport I watch anymore. Being a Red Wing fan I’m hoping that Stevie Y made some good adjustments in the off season to get the Red Wings back to their former glory. Thanks for the videos.

Eyssimont is a good player but man he's gotta work on his awareness. He gets hit hard often, and last night it was like 3-4 times.

Think you are right about the Wings being a team to watch this year. What I saw was Larkin seemed to be have A LOT of fun playing with the team. If he can hold on to that all season and bring the team with him I think we will see a much improved team. So far they have been producing a lot of offense. If they can tighten up on the D a little they should rack up some points. Thanks for the clips

To anyone worried about all of the pre-season prognosticators saying that the Red Wings won't get back to the playoffs: no one is going to believe in this team until the team gives them a reason to (other than die-hard fans who always believe in them regardless). I don't know if they will make the playoffs this year, but I predict here and now that the next time they do make the playoffs again, the season will start like this one did with all of the experts saying "They took some steps forward but they are not there yet".
