Frank D'Angelo sounds off on ridiculous Barry Sherman accusations

When Barry and Honey Sherman bought their North York property in 1985, they planned to spend $2.3 million to build their dream home. They went on to sue at least five of the people and companies involved in the home’s design and construction, Jack Winston Designs, Thomas Marzotto Architects, Ewing Construction, 21 Degrees Heating and Air Conditioning and Walter Kenyon of Walter Kenyon Designs. The Shermans had a estimated net worth of $4.6 billion. After litigation against the house’s designers and builders, they wound up recouping $2 million of the contracted amount to construct the home. The Shermans further went on to ask for $500,000 in undefined damages for breach of contract or negligence from 21 Degrees and Kenyon. When they were killed they listed their house for sale for $6.9 million. Why would it be worth so much if it was so bad in the first place? Court records show Barry’s company Apotex was also involved in about 150 civil cases in the Superior Court of Justice. Their unfathomable greed definitely pissed someone off so bad that they wanted them dead. I would not suspect the cousin. That is too obvious. I would not suspect their later lawsuits either. They were thrown out and no money was awarded. I would suspect one of their earlier lawsuits that were settled. It could be as simple as a guy that pruned the bushes and was not paid because they didn't like how it looked. But I think it would take maybe 2 to 3 people including a lookout. I think it wasn't quick. Someone took the time to explain exactly why they were about to be killed and to laugh in their face. Sort of a twisted torment. What is evident is that if you piss off enough people and flaunt smug greed in their face, eventually someone is going to kill you. This is what I see as a plausible chain of events in this situation. I also think we will never find out what really happened.

I find it interesting that a custom built house that was built to specs by well known, reputable and well respected contractors and craftspeople could result in such problematic issues, specifically the HVAC system, Usually it's something mundane like a leaky roof, etc. Surely there was on site supervision as well as periodic, mandatory inspections by city personnel to ensure building codes, proper practices and methods were enforced. A complicated design and materials made this structure no easy build. In the end Barry settled with most of the builders to the tune of $2 million meaning he got the house for a fraction of the cost. It was a shame and a terrible waste to demolish it.

Interesting info ... Thanks. Strange coincidence that they just had a meeting re their new Forest Hill building plans when Bernie and Anna were linked as you so slowly. Bit of torture there. Didn't know the extent of the house lawsuits or that they had Old Colony built from scratch. As for $6.9 million, it is Old Colony. As for the kiddies destroying the house...who could deny that. No one wants a house where the owners swung in the pool area.

@@skeena59 I'm not sure if even if I had that kind of money I would want to buy a house knowing what happened there. Using the indoor pool alone would kind of "freak" me out as that's where their bodies were found

Barry Sherman's son despised D'Angelo and claimed that his father at one point was financing D'angelo's "enterprises" (movies/food-drink company) to the tune of >$250 million (which D'Angelo denied)

He has nothing to gain by berry's death there is no reason he would want him dead the son is the main suspect in the case he has the most to gain fyi the company was sold to SK Capital was a undisclosed amount after the Sherman death ... remember if Barry dies honey gets everything in the will if they both go the kids split the fortune 4 ways there is no other beneficiaries in his 2017 updated will.

Sherman was nasty to one particular researcher at Sick Kids. She was developing some kind of drug for a blood disorder and found that the side effect profile/risks of using it were horrendous. Sherman tried to destroy her career over this to keep her quiet. This is one of a multitude of people he royally "screwed" over the years. The "who shot J.R." case would be a cinch to solve over this case--Sherman had countless enemies.

As for the walking 4 year suspect maybe he was strolling down the street when a car going into her driveway almost hits him. He seeks an apology and gets the billionaire finger. Well, now it goes to another level Then there's the theory that someone knew a pattern of arrival and details about both the house and activities within that house.

I also believe this--they lost the earlier case against Sherman over Apotex and probably thought they might stand a better chance of getting some kind of settlement if he was out of the way. Unfortunately, the judge threw the case out again and essentially laughed at them for even thinking they were entitled to anything
